The Tulle Shop Slow to ship, no phone number Internet, California

Planning a wedding is very time consuming. Plus, there are deadlines to meet. I cannot wait indefinitely for my order to arrive. I have saved a lot of time and money by purchasing supplies online. That is, until I ordered from The Tulle Shop. Their site states that items are in stock but they are not in stock. I did receive a few items from my order in a timely manner but the remaining items have come slowly & communicating with them has take a lot of my time. They have no phone number. They have an "online chat" that is never, ever functioning. There is never a live person to get information from and I have tried all hours of the day and night. My order was place in mid September 2011 and my credit card was charged in full on that same date. Three items arrived about a week later. That was excellent. The remaining 6 items were stamped as backordered but there was no indication as to when they might arrive. I sent repeated emails to them & received repeated promises that the remaining items would ship. I finally received 5 of the remaining items on Oct 21st (5 WEEKS after the initial order date) but that still leaves one item unreceived. My online order indicates it has shipped but that is how they do things -- they mark things as shipped when they have not shipped & that makes the order confusing at best. I will eventually do two more weddings and I will order online again. But even tho The Tulle Shop has the best prices online, they have the worst customer service & the worst contact options. I would rather pay more for the product and have excellent customer service so I will definitely take my business elsewhere. Perhaps if you have 1 or 2 years to plan your wedding you could tolerate such sloppy customer service but I wouldn't. They bill you for the entire order up front so they've had my money for going on two months now & my order still is not complete. I would recommend you shop anyplace else online for your wedding fabric & ribbon supplies.
