The Parts Masters Crap Shipping = Crap Item Carson City, Nevada |

Deliberated on calling these jerks up for over a year before I decided to buy from them. I should have stayed away. The spindle assembly was overpriced for a used, junkyard part ($95 for a $25 part) and $30 non-refundable shipping. When the part arrived the box was heavily damaged and inside there was NO packing materials to keep it from being knocked around. The part itself was heavily rusted and looked worse than any part of my car. I almost called them up right then and demanded a refund, but I decided to just take it to my mechanic to see what they thought. My mechanic put it on my car and it still didn't run properly so we thought it may have been an issue with the wheel bearings not being the right kind. For a month my car was in the shop while my mechanic searched parts distributors across the east coast, ordering wheel bearings left and right, measuring them, installing them, etc. to see if that corrected the issue. The spindle was bad, worse than my previous spindle. I called Ric (henceforth dubbed PRICK) and asked him if there was any way we could get this issue resolved. He was quite the charmer. No, he wasn't. He was extremely rude to me and since it was past 30 days (warrantee on their site) he said I could basically go screw myself. I tried to explain to him that I work full time and go to school fulltime and have moved since ordering the part and time just kinda slipped by and he went on laughing at me and saying that everyone has a 'sob story' and asked if I wanted to hear his. At this point, Prick had me in tears. I have simply been trying to get my car fixed and am very poor. I paid $125 to be treated like crap by a shrewd junker. I offered to ship the part back to him for $30 out of my pocket in order to get the $95 refund - which would have STILL meant that I was ripped out of $60 for shipping, but he just laughed at me. Prick ended by shouting "What part of '30 days' do you not get?" and I ended by stating "What part of 'You are an asshole' do you not get?" The company's motto is "We sell the best and scrap the rest." Right, what came to me, rusted beyond all recognition, in a ripped open box with no packing inside whatsoever is not what I call "the best". This company doesn't test their parts before shipping them and WILL NOT work with you if there is an issue. Please stay away if you do not want to be swindled out of your hard earned cash. |
