| Scott-McMillan-La-Mesa-Attorney Misrepresents Winning Track Record to Clients |

I contacted Scott McMillan http://www.mcmillanlaw.us about a first DUI. Scott McMillan is a La Mesa California attorney and write this in part due to http://www.scott-mcmillan-law.blogspot.com. After asking him questions about my rights and what can be done, he told me about his experience. He sounded a little shaky on answering questions. I spoke to a different attorney and told me far more detailed information and discovered Scott McMillan did not inform me of my rights to a DMV Administrative Hearing to prevent my license being suspended. That's when simply looked up his name "Scott McMillan La Mesa" on Google. I saw a lot of complaints about him and worst yet, it looks like he has lost every case on appeal in San Diego and California Supreme Court. Disclaimer, Scott McMillan may have won one appeal, but if you want an attorney who has filed over 50 appeals and won ONCE, then I guess Scott McMillan is for you! I can only imagine if Scott McMillan's high loss rate on appeal is that high, what is his loss rate at trial ?
His Yelp reviews all post-date negative posts about him and are listed by 2-3 former clients. Think about it, an attorney for a decade and 2-3 positive reviews?
www.maol.info - just found this, McMillan Academy of Law - unaccredited law school which Scott McMillan runs out of his office near 50 feet from the train track. Have not found a single graduate who has passed the bar exam. Scott McMillan also went to an unaccredited law school, which was located behind a car dealership at the time. |

| This is excellent. I was curious about the "law academy" and when I inquired, I received an incredibly rude email response from him. After reading more and more about this guy, I'm glad he was rude because now I can focus on a real law school. Oh and it looks like a lot of the negative comments on Yelp are gone. Not sure if he deleted them or what happened but they're gone. |

| McMillan Law firm is great. Please do not be persuaded by these negative comments as they have no basis. I am a real client and I can tell you that he is a great attorney. He won a case for me that made news on many websites and exposed a person who hides on the internet in order to commit heinous atrocities. Scott took the time to respond to me in a timely manner. He was never rude to me especially when I had question after question. Until I hired him, I didn't believe I was going to survive the case to the end. He made sure I knew everything that was going on and what I could expect next. He was truly a Godsend. Most of these negative reports are posted by the same person and because Scott won this case for me against, I suspect there will be more. He is a great lawyer! |
