Within the tax relief industry, where scam is the term to describe business as usual, Tax Defense Network is one that's not a scam. The fact is organizations like TDN are up against frauds in their own field. In general I totally agree with the Federal Trade Commission's criticism, which dubs most tax relief companies frauds and scams. Once I discovered I was in tax debt I was more concerned about getting scammed then the IRS taking my money.
I discovered Tax Defense Network after reading a few of the IRS Hitman articles on the internet. I immediately looked up TDN's BBB rating. It was an A rating (like finding gold on the beach). After speaking with a TDN consultant I immediately noticed a difference between Tax Defense Network and the frauds of the tax relief industry. The first clue TDN wasn't a scam was when the consultant talked to me in detail about my problem, and didn't even refer to fees. He ended the conversation by discussing my various options. Yet, I wasn't 100 % positive TDN wasn't a scam. Second clue Tax Defense Network weren't frauds was when I asked about an offer in compromise, which I presume is really a scam anyway. He told me the reason TDN doesn't mainly focus OICs, "Because we know only a small percentage of people will actually end up with an OIC, and could be seen as fraudulent to suggest otherwise."
Inside a sea of frauds, how do you hunt for a reputable tax relief company like Tax Defense Network?
I started by searching the internet for suggestions and things to look out for when selecting an organization in the fraudulent tax debt area. I talked to co-workers and friends, and discovered a lot of people said to evaluate the Better Business Bureau ratings for every company I considered. So, in an attempt not to get my hard earned cash taken from me (as a result of IRS or even in a scam), I said I wouldn't hire a company without at a B rating. Anything lower than a B, I wrote-off as frauds.
When researching a tax debt relief organization, even good ones like Tax Defense Network, use the one that gives honest answers to your questions and doesn't possess a fraudulent record. That's the reason why I went with TDN over other companies that are frauds, and so pleased I did. Tax Defense Network cleared up my tax problem almost immediately, got me inexpensive payments, and tax debt free. |
