Summer Estates Springer Spaniels Susan Grimes Misrepresents Puppies Shes Selling Internet |
3rd of Apr, 2013 by User200862 |
I am just trying to make the public aware that the practices of this facility are VERY deceptive and questionable. We purchased a puppy from Susan in March, 2012 that was nine weeks old. She was advertised as being of championship bloodlines. When speaking with Susan by phone she went on and on about protecting the breed (English Springer Spaniel) and puppies mills etc. We drove all the way to North Mississippi to pick up our new puppy (Bella)....and her husband did meet us part of the way to help with the time of our travel...but we paid for this service. He was actually visiting a friend in the area anyway. When he arrived, he had "paperwork" that was all handwritten that had records about the puppy, but nothing provided was what we needed to register Bella with the AKC. I had just recently put my registered Springer Spaniel to sleep due to cancer..she was 11 years old....so I knew what papers that I needed to register the puppy. It has now been over a year and after numerous attempts to get our paperwork, we still have not received it. Every phone call was full of excuses about her ill mother, children....JUST TOO BUSY to get it done. All the paperwork is in a pile of things to do. However, she is not TOO BUSY to continue to breed and put puppies on the internet for sale. She has four listed right now on puppyfind.com. I just phoned her last night and she tried to keep changing the subject about the papers. When I continued to pressure her...she became irate and still did not give me a time frame of when the papers would arrive. It is obvious that the litter has never been registered, if it even could have been. I read some of her reviews..and there are others that have not received their papers either. My intentions are today to contact the AKC and report her. If she is deceiving the public, she needs to be stopped. When you pay hundreds of dollars for a registered puppy you should receive that. The public needs to be aware that Susan sounds so nice when you are purchasing a puppy from her....but when pressured to get what you actually paid for...a different person comes out. She advertised a puppy that could be registered with the AKC....and this has not happened. We just want what we paid for. BUYERS BEWARE! Be sure that the litter is registered and she has the proper paperwork in hand or you will never get your papers as promised. Just a last note....we love our Bella...she is a GREAT puppy. As of yet, no sicknesses and she seems healthy and has a really good personality. We would not trade her for the world. She has been fixed and we had no intentions of showing her. She is just a wonderful companion to my Mother who just lost her husband and then we lost Liberty (my Springer). She was lonely and depressed and Bella has really helped her through the touch times. |
