he people of Sue's Auto Sales are complete scams. Let me start from the beginning.
We had purchased a vehicle that was a little over 126, 000 miles. It's a great Honda CRV that looks great.
While we were there we had asked the girl that was at the front desk at the moment to change the Timing belt because it was looking kind of rusty and it def needed a change. They explained that Honda suggests that the timing belt is changed at 105, 000 miles... it should have been done before they re-sold the vehicle right? but it wasn't, so we had asked them to do it and the girl said, sure no problem, that's like a 3-4 hr job, it'll be ready when you come pick up the car!
About a month later, the car just breaks down. We take it back to the dealership and the sales guy there, RICH, who happens to be a very arrogant and rude individual, was the one that took over from here. He let us know that it was the timing belt that went bad. When we mentioned that we had asked for it to be replaced, he said that they don't do that there and it was up to us...really?
long story short, We ended up having to pay over 2, 000, close to 3, 000 to change this timing belt... something that should have been done free of charge because A. We had asked them to do it before the car was picked up B. It SHOULD have been done before they re-sold the vehicle and C. We have had the car for less that 90 days. He tried to blame it on the milege, he said that we had put 10, 000 miles on it which was BULL SHIT because it was less than 6, 000 by the time the car was picked up again...
They did fix a few other things, like A/C belt, Water pump, oil change, etc, etc, .
so... after dicking us around for about a month, we finally picked up the car mid june almost july. With 3, 000 more to pay... We put 5, 000 down and we would have been done with the payments in July...
so fast foward to today...
Car starts to leak anti freeze, and needs an oil change. We go take care of that and ask the mechanic who's taking care of the vehicle (not Sue's auto sales) to check the car out to make sure everything is ok. The mechanic had said that the water pump needs to be replaced because it was put on backwards which means that it's damaging something inside the vehicle...
yea... so here we go again, Call Rich back up, let him know about the problem and he starts treating me like crap. He says that he can't do anything for me until monday and that he doesn't really trust my diagnosis. I ask him if this is going to be another month ordeal where we have to pay again for something that THEY should have done right and he tells me that he has no answer for me, he would have to check it out... so this is where we are now...
DO NOT SHOP AT SUE'S AUTO SALES! If you ask to speak to the owner he will never be available. He's like a ghost. You can only deal w/either the sales guy Rich or the Mechanic, Ed... you're not allowed to speak with anyone else.
IF YOU DO SHOP THERE make sure that you have the vehicle thorougly inspected by your own trusted mechanic...
I know they will probably read this and I know you will know who I am, but I am ready for you to bash on me because that's how "classy" you people are!
DON'T SHOP THERE... JUST BE SAFE!
They are located on 11 Grand Army High Way in Somerset,Ma. They may also go by Somerset Autosales... they are as confused about the dealerships name as they are about what their job entails |
