So, when I moved, I left it there because I didnt want to accrue this charge. After moving out, I rescently received a letter from them, The Staford Group LDHA, in Alpena, Michigan, stating I had to pay for75.00 for kilz and paint, 50.00 for a sleeve for the air conditioner that they took out, in which a sleeve is not needed unless putting one in, not taking one out. There was nothing wrong with it, it worked perfectly fine for me, in good condition. And I was also charged 50.00 for drywall, in which I never damaged any of the walls. I have never put holes in any walls of anyplace I have ever rented.

I went over to the Silverwood Apartments to see the repairs made and to dispute what they stated I owed. When I approched the complex, I had noticed that the air conditioner was not in the wall anymore and that it was in the managers, Henry Arnolds apartment, number 4, on the backside of the building. When I told him of my findings and of my disputes, he became angry and wanted me off the property. He would not let me see what he had done in the apartment and what I was being charged for. I phoned the police and the main office to Staford Group LDHA in Alpena and got no where.

I was told I had no business on the property and that it was a civil matter, so I figured I would put it on here so that others would be aware and not rent from these indiviuals that people in the past as well have told me that I would not get my deposit back, other renters in the building that left before I did. As far to my knowledge, they never got their deposits back. So to you that value your money and dont want to get riopped off, I suggest you dont rent from these people. They as well have apartments on the hills for younger people in Hesperia, Michigan 49421 on 140 Townplace Court and in Alpena, Michigan. So Beware, you are now for-warned!! Very Sad Stealing from the Elderly!!!! Dont you think??? Especially for your own gain!!! We should respect our eldlery!!!
