I took my car in for service when the power steering pump started to make excessive noise. The service desk's tech told me that when the mechanic came. He would have him check the vehicle and then give a call about what need to be done and price. I was told the car needed a power steering pump and power steering return lines. I gave him permission to go ahead and repair my car. The problem I have is I was charge $373.00 for the return line and a $150.00 to put it on. They also charge me $259.00 for the power steering pump and $75.00 to put it on. When I seen the return-power-steering-line taken off my vehicle I realized I had been ripoff. The service tech show me a line with a hole grinded in it about 1/8 in. dia. When the pump start making this excessive I checked its fluid level and it was full. I had an engagement to attend so I drove the vehicle although it was making a lot of noise when I turned. It did lose some fluid that was force out at the cap of the pump. This facility had done other work for me on my car: I found out that I was being charged twice as much for parts compare to the dealer's service part quote.
