OMG. I canâ€™t believe that I almost fell for this scam that this school is pulling on students. I was approached by a Mr. John Retureta a few weeks back at a supermarket regarding school. He told me and gave me a business card that he could get me a better paying job if I enrolled at his school. I found him pushy, but decided to listen anyway. What turned me off was, that he was asking me personal questions, especially my social security number. When I told him that wasnâ€™t any of his business, he gave me an attitude and walk away. I decided to call the school and find out why this person was asking so many personal question and trying to push people to go to his school, while promising certain things as a job and more money. It sounded and felt like some kind of scam, especially when he got mad that I was asking questions. When I called, I was told that Mr. John Retureta didnâ€™t work their anymore, and hasnâ€™t for over a week. This really made me mad. I told the receptionist the issue that I had, and she then transferred me to a Mr. Rick Nail. When I told Mr. Nail about my experience with this person John, he told me that I was making a big deal out of nothing, and that John was just trying to help the school. I told Mr. Nail that I didnâ€™t think it was proper for anyone to be asking personal questions, and trying to get personal information with pressure tactics like Mr. Retureta was doing. Especially when he wasnâ€™t working at this school or hasnâ€™t worked their for over a week. Why was Mr. Retureta still passing himself off as if he still worked their? And, why was this other person, Mr. Nail defending his actions? This to me didnâ€™t add up. So, when Mr. Nail mentioned to me that maybe I wasnâ€™t the right candidate for this school, I decided that this school wasnâ€™t a school that I felt good in going. All that this person Mr. Nail gave me, was attitude and double talk when I questioned the practices of the school and Mr. Retureta. Why the attitude, when Iâ€™m asking important concerning questions? It seems that I made the right choice in not going to this school , especially when theirs other complaints from school workers regarding fraud and mistreatment. In my opinion, this school is doing something unethical, and I may report them to the proper authorities. People need to be aware of these scams.
