Speeddate invoice ID: SPEEDDATEABT00584495 Speeddate.com willfully overcharged the amount of $191.40 related to the above Invoice ID. At all material times, I never agreed to pay the said amount notwithstanding the flawed wording of their Terms of Use. Nowhere on their web site had I expressed my intent to pay such amount to them. I intent to file a complaint with the Canadian Competition Bureau. Under its criminal regime, the Canadian Competition Act , prohibits knowingly or recklessly making, or permitting the making of, a representation to the public, in any form what ever, that is false or misleading in a material respect. That is exactly what speeddate.com did to me and to a lot of Canadians through their unfair online billing practices. Furthermore, let me assure them that their jurisdiction clause in theirTerms of Use won’t be of any help to you because the Federal Government of Canada through the Competition Act has authority over the complaints concerning transactions initiated in Canada by Canadian residents not the “State of California”. The mere fact of selling services in Canada to Canadians through your web site places them under Canadian jurisdiction. Their purchase process is so blatantly misleading that upon clicking on the Paypal link their form disappeared and I was automatically led to their main web page. I was not lead to a Paypal page and I did not give Paypal the permission to pay you nor did I agree to complete the transaction. They simply took the amount of money they wanted without my permission. |

CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT will be file against them. I signed up for the site like 3 hours ago, saw they charged me 191$ when I only agreed to 50 cents a month. The site is non-functional and full of security and functionality flaws. If you would like to join the lawsuit, email me at [email protected]. Again, I only first heard about and tried this site 3 hours ago; 1 hour into it, I saw the scam clear as a bell and have been collecting contact information for those others who have been scammed. So far, I have contacted 83 people who have also been scammed and have agreed to join the suit... I'm getting 1 email every two minutes on average as the result of these posts, feel free to join our cause. |
