I leased an apartment from Jefferson Park Apartments, LP which seems to be run by Trimarchi Management and at first everything seemed fine, but the very first night I slept there, I woke up covered in itchy red welts. I later learned these were bed bug bites and further research shows a long history of complaints about bed bug infestation in Jefferson Park Apartments in Irving, Texas. I'm skipping lots of steps here, you can read a more in depth version of these problems here: www.JeffersonParkApartmentsSuck.com However, the core of the story remains the same. Management promised me they had no idea about this problem. They said that they had never heard of a bed bug infestation and I was the only one to ever report it. Exposing this lie was as simple as reading the apartment reviews where this had been an ongoing issue for years. The lady I first worked with as the community manager offered to release me from the lease and it seemed that she was trying to be somewhat helpful with the situation. The day after she called me and told me that "upper management" had seen my scathing but honest review on a popular apartment review website and said that she had been asked to ask me to remove the review or they would take away the offer for me to be released from the lease (which I declined) she either quit or was fired. Then, Melody Rogers took over. She is definitely a company woman. Her story changed in every way possible to protect the company. She accused me of bringing bed bugs with me, picking them up from the moving truck, getting them from the moving guys, etc. I don't understand how it is possible to have dozens of bites start the very first night I slept there and bites stop immediately upon moving out and have it be anything but the apartment itself infested. Add to that the long string of bed bug infestation complaints against Jefferson Park Apartments in Irving, Texas and it seems even more likely that it is Jefferson Park Apartments infested with bed bugs. It is my opinion that Melody Rogers personally, as well as other staff members and executives knew about the bed bug infestation and intentionally hid this information from potential tenants. It is my opinion that they continue this practice as a company policy. It is also my opinion that Trimarchi Management knows about Jefferson Park Apartments being infested with these parasitic bed bugs and does not properly treat likely due to the expense involved. In the end, I lost nearly all of my meager possessions out of fear of taking these parasites with me to my next apartment. Not only was I forced to throw away the items I brought with me to that apartment, but I also bought two new mattresses during the time I hadn't yet figured out what was biting me. I was again forced to throw these out when I moved to a new apartment and buy a third mattress all within the span of a few weeks. Similar situations happened with other expensive furniture items that were lost to the parasite infestation of Jefferson Park Apartments in Irving, Texas. I incurred expenses such as moving truck rental, storage fees, labor, etc. when I was only given five days to move out at the end of my first month. I even had to go live somewhere else for a while during the time I was paying them for an apartment because I couldn't live with the bed bugs. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention credit card interest since I put a significant portion of these on my credit card since I blew most of my allotted budgeting overages on buying my own furniture two and three times as well as first month's rent and security deposits / admin fees for their apartment and the one I moved into the next month. What's that you say? You can't afford to buy your furniture several times in a month, move twice with all the related expenses of a truck, labor, storage, etc. and pay two rents + security deposits back to back either? Well, don't move to Jefferson Park Apartments in Irving Texas. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention having to go to the doctor and the prescription for the bug bites? That costs time and money as well. Jefferson Park Apartments has time and time again refused to compensate me for damages, so I have no choice left but to post here as a warning to others. |
