South Beach Coffee Company/Troyal Inc Bob Pac Classic Case of White Collar Crime Miami, Florida |
19th of Oct, 2011 by User536557 |
I came in contact with South Beach Coffee (Troyal,Inc.) after seeing an advertisement for a coffee distributorship business opportunity. I spoke with an individual named Michael Hutton for sevral weeks before making a decision to proceed. I began doing what I thought was extensive homework researching this company. I checked the local Better Business Bureau and the Florida State Department and everything seemed legitimate. On September 27, 2011 I signed a distributor agreement with Troyal, Inc. to represent the South Beach Coffee Company and become distributor in Northeast, Ohio. In order to receive the product, and begin selling as a new distributor, a pre-payment was required before shipment would occur. On September 30,2011 Troyal, Inc./South Beach coffee cashed my company check in the amount of $16,950. During the weeks of 10/3/11 and 10/10/11 no representatives from Troyal, In/ South Beach Coffee contacted me about my order. Starting to get nervous, I began making several attempts via email, phone and web site to discuss the status of this paid order. No one ever responded to me and on Monday, October 17, 2011 I discovered that the phone is now disconnected. The web site is still active as of this date Southbeachcoffeco.com. Rumor has it they have shut the doors, but I do not know for sure. They cashed my check knowing they were going to close the business and essentially stole from me. Since this is now a federal matter I have filed a complaint with the the F.B.I along with the Florida Department of Consumer Services,The Florida Attorney General and the Southeast Florida BBB about what has occurred. I am sure others have been impacted by this crime too. Hopefully Karma, or the Law will catch up with these white collar crooks. |

I am a lawyer who has been looking into Troyal, Inc. for another client. I gather there may be multiple people with the same complaints about this company. Anyone who wants to compare notes can reach me at (404) 658-5474.
Regardless, if you feel you have been taken advantage of by Troyal, please go get a copy of your cancelled check from your bank. Take a look at the endorsement on the back. On my client's cancelled check, the endorsement was different than the payee on the check. If yours is similar, you may want to consider demanding that your bank credit the funds back to your account. If you think your bank debited your account to pay a company other than Troyal, Inc. (e.g., Troy Al Distribution, Inc.), you may have recourse against your bank.
Good luck! |
