Solar Powered Products Energy Saving Products Pty Ltd Legal scam, offered free solar system, took advertising bond, has not installed system Brisbane, |
3rd of May, 2011 by User300511 |
A company called Solar Powered Products called me & offerd a free solar system. They said they wanted to use my property as a display home. I said ok & agreed to a sales person calling and going into greater detail. I searched the internet for scam info, nothing turned up. Their website was a bit mickey mouse but I thought it all seemed good. After a couple of hours going through all the details we agreed. We were to display a sign outside our home for 6 months. The salesman took a $900 bond for the advertising, refundable at a rate of $150 per month for 6 months after installation. We signed the contracts & were given a 3-4 week installation time frame. Everything seemed okay. Now here's how the scam works. You only start getting a refund on your $900 after installation. They put off installation, delay, use any excuse possible to avoid installation. If you cancel your contract you loose your $900. THEY NEVER INSTALL & HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION OF INSTALLING!! After being given numerous installation dates that keep getting cancelled, you decide to complain to the office of fair trading. To fall into line with the office of fair trading they offer you "as a gesture of goodwill" a partial refund of your $900 with a letter from the so called 'Managing Director'. Everything they are doing is totally legal, so I guess you can call it a legal scam. You do not get your $900 back & YOU DO NOT GET A SOLAR SYSTEM!! We have found at least another 6 people in the same situation as we are in Brisbane. We have got together & after swapping info have come to the conclusion that the same man has been to all of our homes. We think this is 1 person operating under a false company name, addresses etc. We need as many ppl as possible to come forward & post here. We are trying to find out how many ppl this con man has scammed. |

Brent Ivie, Douglas T Stuart, Perpetual Green, Scam Artist, MLM energy credit scam, fake energy saving system, stealing peoples energy credits for fake capacitor box claiming 50% savings.
To all who will listen. Brent Ivie and Gary Tanner are crooked liars who have stolen money from a lot of people, me being one of them. And the sad part is they actully could have ran an honest business. Doug Stewart the first CEO of Perpetual Green is as guilty as Brent and Gary. I did business with PG for a year they promised energy savings with there power factor correction devices. I will say that I sold systems that did save on power. With that said the majority of there systems did not perform as was promised in there contract.
I purchased three commercial units from Gary Tanner. He put in the contract that a minimum of ten percent savings on KWh. This did not happen. From his own mouth he said there was no savings. When I asked for the money back he acted as if the contract was talking about residental units. It was a joke as was he!!! I will say I believe they tried to start and honest business. But when they started finding out flaws that were over there head they panicked and took the money and ran!!! Way to go boys all the while invoking the name of the LDS church. Always good to know there are honest Mormons out there. |

We too have been scammed by Solar Powered Products in the Logan area.
Have contacted various agencies but they obviously have heaps of complaints to go through.
Such a sad society we live in. |

We have been scammed too. I was abused as well when I told the company that they were a scam and had been to Fair trading. I too did all the background checks and all departments told me they were registered. I"m furious that I'm obviously not the only one to question them so why has it taken this long for the departments to now say they aren't legit
We signed our contracts last June, so we have now had12 months of pathetic txt excuses. Steve was aggressive when I questioned their location in Brisbane ( which he said had been flooded in Jan-) Absolute BSh*t -
We are at Upper Coomera so looks like he has worked his way all along the coast. Did anyone else get a variation of contract form sent to them and what result did you get - if any !!! |

we are another couple that has been scammed. Signed in Sept '10. Paid $900 to be refunded over a 6mth period after installation. Got heaps of text msgs saying installation delayed because of weather, floods, operational delays etc etc etc. He said he had a headache when he came to us. When we queried him by phone call on one occasion as to why so many delays he got aggressive and nasty. We got a $25 refund in Feb '10 but he still owes us $875 and we have had no sign put on front lawn and no solar installation. We rang OFT in June '11 and the female on the phone didn't really want to know about it!!! We reported to local Police Station who were very helpful.
He has hurt 100's of families. What has he done with $1000's of our money. How can he get away with it over and over again before the authorities seem to think it is important enough to do something. |

We are the victims of Steve Williams (aka Stephen Jones) and his company Solar Powered Products (or Premium Solar Systems). His co partner is Robert Brown (potentially the same man) and Julie Anne Jones. Together they have set up various fake companies from NSW to Queensland. But their latest scam is the Free Solar advertising scam. You pay $900 as a bond. He never delivers. If you have not yet contacted our group, please act!!!
You can contact us on [email protected] ([email protected] is still active, but victim900 is preferred. [email protected] is inactive)
Our main venting site is on Not Good Enough (http://www.notgoodenough.org/viewtopic.php?p=324085).
We have been urging to report Steve Williams' company SPP (http://www.solarpoweredproducts.com.au) and PSS (http://premiumsolarsystems.com.au) as a scam. He is also known as Pastor Steve from the Australia's Revival ministries at Carrara, Gold Coast, Queensland. |

SHAME ON STEVE WILLIAMS, AKA PASTOR STEVE, AKA STEPHEN JOHN JONES! We must hold the 'person' responsible these days. When STEVE WILLIAMS, AKA PASTOR STEVE, AKA STEPHEN JOHN JONES takes a "job"at a "company'", where the only way to make commissions is to lie & scam people plain & simple, she can't just say, "company policy" and get away with it. When this happens the company throws the employee under the bus anyway and says..."we're not responsible for employee lies". This leaves YOU saying..."What just happened? Why do I freel like I just been robbed?" BECAUSE YOU HAVE! If people took their ethics to work with them... the scam companies would have no employees. SIMPLE!
"Shame on STEVE WILLIAMS, AKA PASTOR STEVE, AKA STEPHEN JOHN JONES! SCREAM IT OUT LOUD! |

We were also approached by Stephen Jones aka Stephen Williams in October 2010. We paid a $900 deposit and have to date no solar power installed or our money back. We received a $25 refund and have no missed on the Government full rebate. He is a habitual liar and when confronted on the phone as being dishonest he gets nasty. We also received a variation of contract which we sent back, and have heard no more. He could not even lie straight in be if he wanted to. He is a serial fraudster because we have since found out that he was not even registered for the solar scheme and carries no products at the address 's .on the contracts. He never intended to supply the goods. He should be hunted down and prosecuted as he is leach on the good and honest people of society. |
