Skyline Publishing Scam printing ads for business, stay away! Internet |

Small business owners stay away from this company AND their sister company Royal. They promise to put your ads in local school programs and or a local city map, which never turn out to be printed. You will see the one and only print of the ad, and a poorly print at that. They wait several months before they contact you from the first time whether you agree or not to print an ad. By the time the months go by your instinct is wow...was that a scam. Then you recieve a statement months later demanding a payment! And you still have not received a proof of your ad. They threaten you with taping the conversation, well I don't think that's legal to begin with, cause I had no idea I was taped! I am not and will not pay for my "map" ad. I was a victim of the school ads. Stay away from both of these companies!

Just confirming this to be a scam. They get you to pay money for them to print some of the city maps and send them to you and only you or whomever else they can scam. There is no distribution and they do not work for your city's chamber of commerce...I checked. Now they are trying to send me to collection for not paying them to scam me. Check with the BBB for the 70+ complaints against them or the lawsuit against them by the State Attorney General in 2007. |

I was called by Jennifer from Skyline Publishing in 2009, after several conversations by phone and her inability to mail me a copy (sample) or to email me an ad proof. I told her I was not interested! I also could never get Jennifer to tell me who or how they get businesses to allow them distribution of the maps.
A year later I received a statement for $100.00. I called the 1-800-893-9309 listed and spoke again with Jennifer who stated "they had recorded me agreeing to the ad" I told her I had never agreed and unless she could send me written proof along with a map that had my ad on it I would not be paying that statement!
A month later I rceieved a very faded, cheaply printed map that only had a few advertisers on it, and ODD mine was not on it! Called the 1-800# again and guess what- I got Jennifer again who said she "would not be able to provide me a map with my ad as they had distributed ALL of them" but could not tell me anyone in my area I could call to verify that they were distributing these maps for Skyline!
I told her I had no proof that these maps were ever printed with my ad or for that matter anyone in my area that could verify this; so she would not receive any payment from me, end of story.
Well, here it is ANOTHER YEAR LATER- And I have started getting 2-3 calls a day from a ph# 1-727-595-3135, and the girl leaves a message stating her name is JENNIFER BERNSTEIN from the offices of Bernstein & Bernstein who is representing Skyline Publishing & Russell Corp, and that Skyline Publishing is filing a lawsuit against my company for non payment of the $100.00; and if I do not call today with a debit or credit card to pay this, they will also try to hold me liable for attorney fees, court cost, etc...
I'm so curious to know if the Attorney Generals office in Illinois and Florida are going after this company for fraud?
THEY WILL NOT BE GETTING 1 DIME FROM ME! |
