SKS Associates Debited money from my bank account on closed lease New York, New York

SKS Associates acquired Northern Leasing Company (not sure of the date).
My husband previously had leased credit card processing equipment from Northern Leasing Company, which to his dismay he was never able to use. Long story short we contacted Northern Leasing Company in 2008 and paid off the entire lease and sent the equipment back to them certified so that they had to sign for it and we knew they received the equipment so we could be done with them taking our money for something we could not use because they could not follow through. Yesterday (03-10-2011) two years later we receive a letter from the now SKS Associates dated 02-28-2011 stating they are debiting our bank account for $121.86 on 03-11-2011 for taxes and fees either not collected or under collected. I call them at intues sentthe number on the letter 1-866-286-8841 and was on hold for 10 minutes and then was transfered to a message that said the voicemail was full and the phone call was disconnected. I call back and 10:20 am was placed on hold and finally at 10:30am someone answered the phone. After confirmaing the equipment was returned and the account paid and closed in 2008 this person who called himseld Damon said the $121.86 was for property taxes not collected during the lease period gave me an 8 digit tax id number (these are supposed to be 9 digit numbers) and said he was sorry for my inconvieneice but these fees are legitimate. This is a real crock and they are ripping people off all over the United States and should be stopped.
