Signet Financial Warranty
Signet Financial Warranty SFG warranty refund, Vacaville, California
27th of Nov, 2010 by User524296
Purchased an extended warranty from Signet Financial Group with the knowledge it would be refunded if not used after 4 years. Never used the warranty and contacted SFG to request my refund. All information was sent certified mail and received within the 30 days. They are disputing one of the items requested and have denied my claim. I have contact the attorney general in CA and was informed that I need to contact the attorney general in the state the warranty was purchased. I am now in the process of doing this. I wonder why there has been no class-action lawsuit.

I believe I may be in the same boat. My extended warranty expired at 75, 000 miles in Dec 2010; got all required documents to them by 1st week of January 2011. They then requested additional documents; those provided within the 30 day time period allowed. Called in several times February to check status; never talked to a human in the Refund department and never received a return call. Finally got info from a customer rep who told me it's their policy to wait 90 days after receiving all documents before making a decision. It's now May and I've heard nothing from them; tried calling today and got a message stating "This number is temporarily unavailable; please try you call again later. TPAC 45."

I'm beginning to believe I may be screwed. CC

Same story here. Warranty expired in Nov 2010, made sure I had all the paperwork exactly like they said, got the same routine, we need additional paperwork within 30 days again. Sent that in, they said it takes 60-90 days to approve. Marked it on my calendar, waited 60 days, called, they said try again at 90. Called again at 90 days, now March 11th. I was told it was approved and the paydate for my refund was May 6th. Nothing in the mail, waited till today, still nothing. Called this afternoon, got the same message as others, This number temporarily unavailable. Will call tomorrow. If I get no response again, will contact officials at the state, better business bureau, and will contact the dealer to find out if they are still using this company to customers during auto sales. Will let everyone I know about this, and make sure they don't get ripped off. They make you jump through hoops to get a refund you deserve, so how bad would it have been if one had actually needed to use the warranty for repairs? Also the dealer that sold us the pickup has been bought out a couple years ago, so no recourse there either. If there is a class-action suit, sign me up.. pissed off in MT
