Negligence |

Vendor Beware!
I was solicited by the founder of Shoptiques to feature my products on their website and in return give them a commission for any of my product sold.
Shoptiques asked me to ship my product s to their HQ so they could shoot photographs for their site.
While reluctant to do this, I proceeded because I was assured that that my merchandise would be in good hands, would be returned promptly and insured for the full value of the parcels sent.
The 2 boxes which contained over $5000 worth of merchandise were only insured for $400 each and
Shoptiques did not require a signature upon delivery. One of the boxes was left on my doorstep and was never recovered. Since Shoptiques did not require a signature, I wasn't even able to collect the meager $400 Shoptiques insured the box for which contained over $2000 worth of handbags. The mail service company they use does not reimburse insurance for parcels lost or stolen if no signature is required.
Shoptiques took absolutely no responsibility to reimburse me for any of my merchandise that was lost due to their negligence.
Shame on you Shoptiques! |

I am a boutique owner in NYC who has had it with Shoptiques. I am constantly hounded by Shoptiques staff to report my inventory levels to them. The one item I have sold through their website was expected to be shipped by my staff within 12 hours after I was notified of the order. No benefit for me to be on their site which has yielded one order since they launched. I would much rather spend my energy on my prospering client base rather then dealing with their demanding staff who insists they did me a huge favor because they did a photo shoot of my apparel which Shoptiques claims cost them hundreds and hundreds of dollars. |

I am happy to see this complaint as I've had the same problem with Shoptiques. I've been with them for 2 months now with absolutely ZERO results. I have made only 2 sales during this whole time, to friends of family. They are constantly hounding me about my inventory as well as their photos shoots are low quality. They do not use "world class" models and photographers but rather people from Craigslist. |

Hello Baglush,
I'm sorry for your bad experience with Shoptiques. I was recently approached by Shoptiques and while doing background research I came across your post, which has me very concerned. I am worried not only about their poor service, but also their commission rate; the rate they offered me seems high, and I want to make sure I'm not being ripped off. For comparative purposes, what kind of commission rate did they offer you?
Thanks in advance for your help - I'm just trying to grow my business and don't want to be taken advantage of. |

Hello Rolph,
I got the same bad vibe from Shoptiques and their commission seems unwarranted. I was also approached by Local Hem and I got a much better feel from them and they're also a better value. I'm going with them. Let me know how it goes if you go with Shoptiqus.
Good luck. |

Hi all,
Same question that Rolph asked.
Can we make this commission system public between us, just to make sure that different people don't get charged different commissions?
I would really appreciate.
Thanks |
