Quick Summary of Scam: Sphere Inc is based on an employment pyramid scheme. The scam steals your of your time by offering empty promises. Sphere INC who is not even an registered INC scams and steals job seekers time. It is a win-win situation for them weather you go through their interview process or "work" for them. They proclaim they are a marketing company but are more like sales. They claim that they are affiliated with Fortune 500 companies as Marketing contractors but merely they are granted a table at their store. The Interview Scam of Free Labor: The interview process consist of 1 initial vague interview in where they excite you and proclaim your possibility of moving up to a Senior Executive Marketer. They will not discuss pay with you or any details. As they accept anyone with a resume, you will be invited to go through 3 additional interviews in where you provide free labor. These additional interviews they say are used to evaluate you and your competitiveness. You will work for them for free selling anything from , fudge, jewelry, kitchens, cable tv plans etc etc. With my experience working there, approximately 75% voluntarily quit during these evaluation interviews related to the disorganization and obvious free labor scam. At one point in time, I was dropped off with 3 other people for 4 hours of sales evaluation with no evaluation person in sight and was not picked up until 6 hours later. The Employment Scam of Low Wages and Empty Promises: Foolishly some people as myself decide to pursue a future with sphere inc. With motivation that my 10 years of sales experience will carry me to the top. I quickly realized after 1.5 months of "working" for sphere that this is a dead end and one too many times promises amounted to nothing. Your pay comes from how much you sell. I average $100 a week as did my peers that quickly quit. Obviously the company argues that your growth will come from your skill of selling. They told me that growth happens around 6 months, but upon evaluating no one that worked there besides the leaders of the company for more then 3 months. On a lucky week I sold $600 worth of cable tv plans, with the promise of a "huge cut". I never received this cut nor was I promoted. I continued to make $100 a week. I later realized that none of the employees had advanced through the ranks and only the people that did the interview were considered "Senior Level". After time wasted, gas money wasted running around to different malls and stores I quit. Again Sphere Inc stated that promotion and salary is based on Sales. Don't expect to sell much and if you do, do not expect to be promoted nor paid for this. If you are promoted the people you manage are most likely not selling alot and their is no example of other managers getting cuts from people under them. |
