I purchased a1997 E-420 Mercedes after looking at the car on 3 time in three weeks. It was priced High I enquired why and was told the following. The car was owned by a pilot and maintained regularly. Sheehans Mechanic drove it home after service each day to be sure it was running good. I asked the salesman SCOTT whom I was dealing with does everything work and said it was a great deal. I felt that I was getting a good deal. I called Tom Sheehan the owner and made a plea for a discount for being a loyal customer(I bought 5 vehicle previously from the Truck Dept.) He replied that the price was firm and I was getting the best price.I got my finaces and trade together and went in saturday morning to buy the car.I drove it for 5 min and put on the AC.It turn out cool air but keep in mind it was cool in January. So I bought the car thinking I got a nice car. Now however it is summer and I took relatives to the airport in Miami. The AC system was not puting out cool air.Next day 3 estimates all coming in @2500-3000 dollars to repair. All three told me I was a victim of an old trick dealers use.Charge the car up every week so i9t sells. I overpaid on this car by 5K but its condition was pristine and by going by what I was told I felt I could get a few years out of the car. I went to sheehan and expressed my negative feelings to the new manager Scott- I told him how I felt and then he made a fool out of himself and Told me how I felt. I decided I wont get anywhere by talking to this company. For one on the day I bought the car a woman got the deal because the original guy was gone. I never had a problem nor did my family members. We bought cars fro Mr Sheehan SR. years ago. Its sad that at my stage in life I get screwed over a used car in my hometown. Im 100% Disabled Veteran with severe diabetes and other Agent Orange problems.Riding around with no AC in the summer is tuff on me. I cant handle the cost of repair as I am still paying for this car. |
