Unjust use of working-class money.

Anyone who works at or is a prospective worker at a food service job in California was mandated with attaining the "ServSafe Certificate" by July 1 in order to maintain his or her job or to acquire a food service position. People like me are forced to pay $15.00 in order to buy an online course that comes with a complete tutorial on the values of food handling safety. A necessary course for food handling in my personal opinion, but why are we paying National Restaurant Association Solutions, LLC, a private organization based in Chicago, $15.00 to take this test? Well, if we take a look at how this came to be, maybe we will come to understand the scam the ServSafe Certification truly is. For this law to come to pass, the law had to be lobbied by someone. And who was that someone? National Restaurant Association Solutions, LLC in Chicago! Any red flags yet? Why is a limited liability corporation in Chicago recieving the money we pay for these courses? If it is a California law, shouldn't the courses and tests be regulated and administered by the California government? I wonder what politician is getting the fiscal kickback on this one... All in all, it is not right to pay a private organization (that is not even in the same state) money in order to hold a minimum wage job.
