I opted to use Remington, as they were great to deal with on the front end. They promised a flat rate, had excellent follow up, and lovingly packed my belongings at the time of move.....but that's when their good service ends!! They have been utilizing 3rd party companies throughout my process, a booking company (OnTime Movers), Remington (the pickup movers) and a separate company to deliver my move (Air1 Moving). The booking company charged me $260, then said they needed a check deposit of $400 towards my quote of $1826, and would refund my initial $260. This never happened. When my stuff was finally delivered, I was extorted for this amount which was already paid...so I had to pay it again to the delivery movers, in addition to my remaining balance agreed upon, otherwise they would not give me my belongings. They dropped off my stuff, much of it damaged, with the exception of the largest item in my move, my bed! I contacted Remington 6 times in 4 days, with not one call back on my missing bed. I have called every day for 2 weeks. The owner, Noah, has dodged my calls, and the customer service rep handling my case, Nicole, has not returned my calls or emails in days. It is now December 13th, 2011. My move was delivered on Dec. 2nd, and not one person at Remington has made any attempt to replace my bed, or reimburse me for it, or the $260 I have overpaid. They all acknowledge that I have overpaid, and that they did lose my bed, they're just not doing anything about it. I finally had to purchase a cheap used bed online, so that I have a place to sleep in my new house. This has been one of the WORST experiences I've ever had in dealing with a company. There is no accountability on their part, and they are happy to wipe their hands clean as soon as they take your money!!! BEWARE!!
