Securus Correctional Billing Services Block Call From the persons who was calling because they wanted me to get pre paid account. Dallas , Texas |

I had been recieving phone call from the Jail for about three months and then I put a block on the line for about a week later took the block off and this is when the problem began with the correctional billing. The said that my line had a block on it and the only way that the could remove it was for me to send the proof of ownership of the phone line. So I did this and then they told me the phone company had a block on my line and suggested that I get a pre paid call. I ask why is it that I have been receiving call all the time but know it block and yall are saying its ATT and they are saying that my line is clear. Well, you can open up a pre paid account and I ask why would I want to do this ...... I do remind you that in order to open up a prepaid account you will have to pay a service fee of 6.95 this will not be added to the call amount at all. The min that you can put on this account is 25.00 and each time you add money to this account you will have to pay 6.95. So after they seen that I would not open an account for this they allowed call to come through and the they cut them off once again and told me that the phone company that I was with would not let them bill the call to my phone and that I could open up a prepaid account. Talk to a supervisor and she said that they will not be allowing any more call to be bill through the phone company and that I need to open a prepaid account...I made up my mine that I will go see him and write him that 6.95 could go on his books.

Your not alone in this. it's been a NIGHTMARE but I had no choice but to open a prepaid account due to the physiological trauma that my son is going thought not being able to have that connection with his dad. His councilor says that for the sake of his mental health it's necessary, so I've cut off the cable, reduced the internet to the bare minimum, dropped the phone to all but the most basic service and still it doesn't cover the cost of the calls that cost hundreds each month for a daily 15 min call. |
