Sears Holdings Corporation Delivery Damage Bad Customer Service Hoffman Estates, Illinois

Sears Home Delivery was a horrible experience. The Appliance Delivery person forced a washing machine against the wall with such force that he broke the water pipe in the wall. Now my pipe was broken and my walls and carpeting were all flooded. I spent about $300 for a plumber, $300 for the carpet restoration, $125 for the tenant temporarily moving out, eight hours of my time at the property, two hours on the phone, and eighty miles of driving. Also, the dryer vent on another was not attached (I purchased three for three apartments), the linoleum under two of the machines was torn, and two water drain pipes were also broken. I called the company the next day and within a few days faxed all the receipts and information to the company, exactly as they told me to do. Now, forty five days later, still no response. Another hour on the phone and now I am waiting for a call back. I doubt that they will call, they never called back before. This experience was h**l for me. I would not have gone through it if they gave me the machines for free. Too many people working and nobody will take responsibility for this.
