Sears and Chase Sears Card Sears Credit Card Users Beware Toronto, Ontario |
2nd of Apr, 2013 by User620000 |
Bought what we thought was the best home appliances from Sears and Bought the Warranty in Dec 09 for Delivery in January 10. Paid near $4000.00 for the Fridge which is the topic of my report. Have had enormus problems with electronics and ice maker to name of couple of reoccuring snags. Estimated Service Calls 7 plus. Finally got a call from Sears guy in Montreal saying they would like to offer us a buy out on the Fridge. Paid for the warranty as I mentioned and they stood to make some pretty good money on this deal had I taken it. (Scam one in my opinion) Finally went into the store to talk to the manager. Very nice man and had talked him a few times though all the problems. He said I will replace this fridge with no price involved straight exchange. He called me up before delivery and asked me if I wanted the extended warrany on the new one. I said for sure not thinking that I have still 2 1/2 years remaining on the defective one. When we did the deal on the new one the credit was to be processed in the same period to not affect my card balance which I try to keep at zero at all times. Chase who handles the credit for Sears unfortunately at a rate of 29.9% interest annual and accrued daily at .06192 on the outstanding balance. (Typical for Credit Card Companies to some point) There were miscelanous charges that appeared on the first statement so to protect against these Cr__k_ ruining my credit I paid the $800.00 bill which was to pay for the extra warranty but not the right amount. Spent time on the phone with Chase when I have a few things like work to get handled. It was supposed to be on the next statement which just came in and low and behold another issue. After another hour of my life wasted with Chase, the new story was that the reason I am getting a balance is due to them issuing me a credit for aggravation in Jan 2010. It was for a discount they had given me on the fridge and other applicances that I bought of $400.00 in Jan 2010. What they were actually doing is taking my discount back for having returned the fridge do to the fact it was defective. This is some kind of Joke, not apparently. Truely people and companies never to deal with again. I have wasted 10 hours of my time not to mention other issues as a result that have been created. Let's head right down to Sears and Buy some Stuff on our Sears/Chase Credit Cards! |
