Scot Geddye
Scot Geddye Scott Geddye Life coach, website designer doesn't follow his own advice to do the right thing Internet, Internet
1st of Aug, 2011 by User297013
My business partner entered into an agreement with Scot Geddye to produce a website for our company on June 8th, 2011 for $2,195. The project was to be complete in six weeks. My partner then asked for an additional feature, bringing the total to $4,800. Our first concern was raised when his initial design proved to be a template from another website. I was asked to oversee Scot in creating the website in July, at which point Scot became very difficult to reach. On the rare occasion he would answer his phone he would explain he was busy and promised to back. He never did. Most often he simply did not respond to email, text or phone calls. Having reached the deadline for the website to be complete, without having seen any work from Scot since the pre-produced template, and with little or no communication, we sent him a message asking for our money
back, no harm done. For the first time, Scot contacted us without our prompting. He explained the agreement
did not have a cancel clause. He seemed took to think that meant he could keep money he had not earned. Then he advised me that the agreement was never signed anyway. I was not sure at this point whose point he was trying to make. I had not been part of the process to hire Scot, but felt some due diligence was necessary. I found out that Scot promotes himself as Dr. Scot Geddye, Christian life coach and mentor. According to his Facebook page he coaches people to do the right thing. Interesting. No mention of website design or training to do such. I wondered what kind of doctor Scot was. Dr. Scott Gedye was a chiropractor who was put on probation in 2003 by the Arizona Board of Chiropractors for failing to disclose a sanction in another state, failing to maintain adequate patient records and billing for
services not documented in the patient record. Apparently things did not improve as his license was suspended in 2005, and revoked in 2007 (http://www.azchiroboard.us/ProDetail.asp?LicenseNo=5369). I found this information by searching Google for his phone number and found Scott Gedye D.C. and Dr. Scot Geddye could be reached at the same number. I did offer Scot(t) the opportunity to show us what work he had actually done, give him credit and he could refund the rest. Scot(t) continues to be very difficult to reach, and has not yet returned money he did not earn. The website was due two weeks ago and our business suffers as the result.

SCOTT GEDYE is a con, scam and player. He has a bad reputation in the Phoenix area and I am sorry to say but anyone doing business with someone that had his license revoked as a Dr. due to Fraud; well, that should have been your sign.
I can not stress how important it is to always research anyone before you fork over cash. There are many good legitimate website companies and folks out there. First always start of with Better Business Bureau and then a simple Google search.
