Scootworks Lied about refund being issued Zebulon, North Carolina |
1st of Jan, 2012 by User229408 |
My husband and I purchased a belt drive for his motorcycle. After less than 7,000 miles the belt broke while we were out on an afternoon ride. My husband contacted Dave Hockaday and after several emails and pictures of what happened to the belt, we mailed the entire belt drive back to Dave. This occurred in the beginning of October. We then had to stay onto of him and continually ask what he thought of the unit, on November 17th he sent an email and just asked if we wanted a refund or another unit. Since we had to spend $500 to get the original installed on the bike, we choose the refund. In December, two weeks before Christmas, Dave emailed (after my millions that went out to him) and said that Debbie cut a check and we should have it in a couple days. On the 22nd of December, he then told me that another one will be reissued and sent trackable method. I asked to be sent this confirmation. Over the Christmas break, he told me it was sent but can not get me the info as they are not in the shop for the week. The day that he said he was returning, another emergency occurred so he couldn't send me the info about the check. By the way, the second check has still never showed up. This is also the third maybe fourth emergency we heard about since all this started. After I sent several more emails he told me that I am harassing him and he will get to it on his time, not mine and that he is no longer going to be receiving my emails as he is sending them all into his dump folder. We have not heard from him since, nor have we received our money. Dave has done nothing but tell us LIES and excuses. He has not returned our money and still has our part. This is not the type of man I would ever want to do business with again! |

I too have a story to tell about Dave Hockaday and Scootworks. June 2011 I ordered a chrome inner engine piece from there chrome shop, Dave was most accommodating to take my money from me, and told me it would be a few weeks as he was sending out to the chromer to get done, A month goes by and I have to email and ask for the part I paid fro up front, Dave gave me a story, Dave has many stories, Dave continued with all the stories from July 1st till November 2011 telling me (After I email him continuously) that they had to change chromers or the part came back but it was in buffing all the while telling me if I did not want to wait for the part he would refund my money to me, so December 7th I send HIM and email asking for my money back as I paid for a part that I never received. He replied and said it would take 3 to 5 business days to get. Again on the 27th of December I emailed him again asking and he said they were out for the holiday break but would check again when he returned. I emailed on the 9th of January asking for my money back and never received another reply for the lying waste of air (me being politicaly correct) jerk. I had thought man 150 bucks is going to make his life so much nicer that guy mist really be broke but now I see you with a larger amount and it is clear that the better business bureau should get involved or his wife who is the president smack him around as I am going to tell everyone I know what kind of scammer they are. I just involved my bank to get my money back from that loser and you should too. |
