First off I am a single mom looking for ways to make ends meet. So low and behold I get an email from a friend stating that I can make extra money from home. I followed the link and after reading an "NBC report" thought "hey this might be legit." I also must emphasize that I thought this was a job linking posts online for other companies, that is what I read. I was wrong. Well I spent the $39.99 and I got access to this website where they give you access to online instructions to make money online, but before you can access them you need to contact a "start up specialist." Well this person phones me the next day and after a few missed calls, and he phoned everyday, I made contact. It turned out that even more money was needed to set up an online website. I need to express clearly that a single mom of two usually does not have the money to keep giving these people, and it seems that every step to this "dream stay at home job" and its not a job its a business, you need to "invest" more money, and more money. I cannot say for sure if this works, I never got that far. With the success stories you never hear how much they had to invest to make that money. This is an actual quote pulled from the NBC report. "It was pretty easy, I actually received an email that sparked my interest, so I went to the site, filled out a short form and signed up for a work at home program where I got instant access to everything! Since they offered the system for about $20 I figured I had nothing to lose. So, I started the program and within four weeks I was making over $3,000 a month. Before I knew it I was making $3,000 a week. It's really simple, I am not a computer whiz, but I can use the internet. I followed the instructions, and I don't even have to sell anything and nobody has to buy anything." But this is not what you get told by the start up specialist. You get asked how much can you invest so we can start your online business. But the reason that brought me to this website to report them is what happened next. I opened my email and all of a sudden I had all these email replies to an email I never sent. This company took my contact list unbeknownst to me, and emailed all my friends and family basically using me to endorse their product. They used me to send spam to people who trust me. Luckily for me, most of them came back undelivered, and my friends were smart enough to ask me, "what?" I was not happy with their product, so I wouldn't endorse it. I don't think you should keep telling people, in order for you to make money we need to do THIS but we need YOU to to pay for it. Be up front! Let people know right away what its going to cost them. Don't get them to pay, then tell them its going to cost more. Because according to their websites, pay this low price and you can make a ton of cash. I just want people to be aware, this company will steal your contact list and then spam your close friends and family. |
