| I accessed a three-month trial membership to My Life.com on 3/19/11. The My Life website also offered a "FREE" 7-day trial membership to Savings Ace, an online company that would give discounts on products. I innocently agreed to try Savings Ace for seven days. On the 7th day, 3/26/11, Savings Ace billed my checking account for $19.95 for the next months services. Now that I've cancelled my Savings Ace membership, Savings Ace refuses to refund the $19.95 on the grounds that I didn't cancel within the first seven days. In the end, I'm paying them $19.95 for a "Free" 7-day trial membership. I am appalled that I fell for yet another scam, and that MY LIFE would participate in such a scam. All of these super-offers make you check a box to prove that you've read their "terms, agreements, and privacy policies. They then place said terms, etc., in an inaccessible place on the website, and word them so incoherently that it's hard to complete the reading of them. THESE ACTIONS MUST BE STOPPED! I have appealed to the BBB and every ripoff/scam reporter I could find. I want my money back from Savings Ace! My Life: I am totally ashamed of you for promoting this program and no longer trust you very much. I found in reporting this to you that you, also, were planning to start billing my checking account without my knowledge because I couldn't access your terms, agreement, and privacy policy on your web page. The greedy scams just never stop! Take advantage of the guy who doesn't take the time to first access and then muddle through your terms. |

I found out two days ago when I went to the bank about this company who had been taking $19.95, then later, $22.95, as well as $50 more out of my bank account since June of 2010 bank account only had $400 in it, which was an emergency fund. I am on Social Securtiy and the meager income I have would not allow me to save anythiing toward an emergency. I never touch this account, so I assumed that there was no need to open the monthly statements. With the help of the bank manager, I was able to speak with two representatives from the crooked company. THey have ripped me off for $380.10 and will only agree to refund me for one month's charges. I wish my bank would have see a red flag on my account and contacted me. My record would reflect that I never touch the account, yet every month that this Savings Ace scam took money out of my checking account, the bank would transfer money to cover it out of my savings side. In don't click on ANY offers because I have never trusted them. I don't know how this could have happened without my knowledge. I don't like their attitude or business practices. They are stealing money. If they were on the up and up, why have they never once contacted me with a statement of my activity, supposed savings, coupons, emails or any other mode of communication. I have never received word one from them. My bank is going to try to get my money back but in the case that they do not, I am going to go on every social network I can find, as well as three TV stations that have people to deal with these scam artists. I am going to warn people to not use Travelocity or these other companies on line. I live in metro Detroit. There are MILLIONS of people here alone who would cease using these companies. I doubt that SavingsAce can afford to lose millions of people but too bad! They are scandelous. They take advantage of good, honest people. Maybe some people take advantage of their 30% coupons, maybe some people have the money to do that. I do not, never have and will definitely be more careful in the future when dealing with online transactions.
I would love to see a class action suit formed against this company. They won't even let us know their address. |
