On 1/1/11 I placed an order with SaveHereDigital.com for a Nikon D5000 and a battery. I also entered promo codes so that I would receive a free battery and a tripod and cleaning kit. On 1/2/11 I received a call asking me for my security code on the back of my card and the man pressured me to purchase a battery charger for $125 (I purchased one online somewhere else for $5).
At the end of the phone call he told me that it would be sent to shipping. The total at this point was $390. After it got sent to shipping the total changed to $129.99. I of course couldn't reach the company because they did this right before they closed for the day.
On 1/3/11 I called my bank to put a stop payment me but the authorization had already gone through for the $129.99, but it was not SaveHereDigital that processed my card it was ThunderCamera, so I was forced to cancel my card so that they could not remove anymore money from my account. I then proceeded to call the company, which was supposed to open at 9:30 pst, but they were not open. Finally, the phone started to ring an hour after they should of been open but it ended with a busy signal every time.
I also tried calling ThunderCamera.com since they were the ones that processed my card but I also had the same issue with their office being closed. I did happen to save the number that they called me from and was able to finally reach someone. They told me that they shipped my order there was nothing that they could do. They told me they did not have my camera, they could not tell me when it was going to be shipped, and they could not give me a number to the warehouse that it was at.
I worked for UPS and I know that they do not pick up from businesses as soon as they open in the morning. I instructed the man to get off of his ass put my package back on the shelf and to give me my refund.
How can a place run a business when they do not carry the products that they are selling and only deliver the products that are overpriced?!
I do not know if they company is actually going to refund my money. Hopefully they do because as of right now I have lost $129.99 and I had to cancel my credit card. This has been such a hassle and this company should be shut down.
