sanford brown institute dismissed without proper cause iselin, New Jersey |

On Wednesday November 9,2011 my two sisters and I were dismissed from school on false accusations. Upon being called into the deans office and told we were dismissed, we respectfully requested to know why we were being dismissed and were given short, rude answers that did not answer any questions we had or explained why we were being dismissed at all instead we were told we would just have to wait until we got a report in the mail which never came. That right there shows me just how much your institution cares for their students and their futures. I would like to know why I was dismissed when just two days prior to this incident Mrs. Agosta herself pulled me out of class because she was concerned that I was not being myself and wanted to know if I had personal problems and in the presence of another faculty member praised me for being such a good student and even went as far to say that I was one of her best students. I personally feel bullied and discriminated against for the simple fact that I am in school with my two sisters and because we are related the three of us need to be penalized because the teachers has a problem with just one of us. My two sisters and I were wrongfully dismissed without an investigation or questioning. I feel the Iselin campus of Sanford brown is a poor excuse of an institution with horrid faculty members that don’t care about any one and would rather dismiss students than fix the problems that are brought to their attention from students. On three occasions to three different faculty members including the dean I voiced my concern about Mrs. Agosto’s teaching methods because in reality she does not do her job as an instructor instead during class hours she is on her phone, playing on facebook, or socializing with other students. How am I learning if she is not teaching me? When I brought these allegations to the dean and Mrs. Jackson, as they called it, instead of them trying to resolve the problem or try to understand my concern they spoke to me rudely and with much attitude as if they did not care and then told me they did not believe me and would investigate with all of the other students, they never did that they brushed me off and acted as if the concerns were never brought to their attention. It got to the point that I withdrew my application for the surgical tech program because this school treats its students as if they are nothing but a check to them. On a separate occasion, modular two, another faculty member, Mrs. Cynthia, pulled myself and my sister Crystal out of class because she could clearly see that we were frustrated. She walked us across the hall into another classroom saying she could see our frustration and said “I can see both you and Crystal are frustrated, it shows; she was thrown into this mod, and she does not know what she is doing.†After listening to our fears, she left us in that classroom to ask Mrs. Agosto to please come across the hall so that she, Crystal, and I could discuss our concerns toward the situation. We were in that room with Mrs. Agosto for 15-20 minutes voicing our worries with no other faculty member present. Before this private meeting with the teacher we would repeatedly request handouts so that we can practice in our own time. Mrs. Agosto still wasn’t doing her job and instead of myself and my sister starting drama we just sucked it up and decided to just deal with it and continue with school because I wanted a better future for myself and my two kids, but instead we were unjustly removed. Why, because instead of doing what you are being PAID TO DO and being an institution that wants to see your students succeed in what they choose to do and give your school a good reputation you would rather dismiss them? Are those really the type of people you want fixing the medications that your children, parents, grandparents, and grandchildren will be using? Someone who wasn’t even taught the basics because instead of teaching instructors would rather be lazy social butterflies who fraternize with students instead of doing the proper thing and teaching them? Yes I FEEL BULLIED NOT JUST MYSELF BUT MY TWO SISTERS AS WELL. Not only do I feel bullied by the students who lied to have myself and my sisters dismissed from school but by the faculty member who lied as well. When is enough enough, when is it time to stand up and say I will do the right thing when will peoples educations be taken seriously by Sanford brown, when it is too late and a child has died because his medication was not made properly by the technician because he did not get proper training. |
