The problems with this agency are many and the sources for this report are also many besides myself. After speaking with current and past staff members the consensus is that the CEO is just a pawn of the racist natives who are pulling the strings. The confirmed report is that this is a culture of institutionalized racism against whites and any other non-indian groups. The Behavioral Dpt director resists any attempt at trying to unify all the departments and the medical department also has serious leadership problems. The Youth Program director is so racist that during a joined staff meeting recently he verbally and physically attacked a non-indian doctor, had to be restrained, went on to have a psychotic breakdown and had to be placed on a 51/50 hold in a mental institution. Within days, he was back on the job working with Indian youth. Off couse with the approval of the Behavioral Health program director.
The medical director allowed a nurse diagnosed with tuberculosis to stay on the job and she infected coutless patients and other staff members. The San Diego health department had to issue a warning to the community and all employees, past and present, had to be checked for TB. The lawsuits are coming. Again, the doctor is back on the job. The level of arrogance in this place is so high, the decisions being made are putting the patients and staff in jeopardy, It's a shame that a community that so badly needs services like those provided in this clinic, is being underserved by those in charge and with the education to make a difference. This clinic needs a complete overhaul from the top down. This fake indian board needs to go and new people within the community need to step up to the plate and take charge.
