These people asked to purchase my daughters Arabian and half Arabian show horses. I agreed, they made a few payments then "disappeared" from the face of the earth along with my horses. Listed below are the horses registration names and numbers. Ruth Helmhotlz and her daughters, one of them is Bethany, used them for showing and used two of the horses in their riding school. Please let em know if you know anything about my horses.....

| All three horses are there and I have recently learned due to monetary issues... the horses are starving... I have seen pictures and the pictures of the horses that were shown to me are looking VERY thin. If this issue is still unresolved, I would suggest contacting the authorities to get your horses back ASAP before it is too late! |

| I don't know who you are but those horses have the best care that a horse can ask for. I take lessons and bored my horses there and I see those horses pretty much every day and there Is nothing wrong with them. You are just trying to cause problems. Ruth and Hugo are the greatest people that I know and they love the horse in general. You just like drama whoever you are. Its a little immature don't you think? |

I have only know this family for about 5 years. In that time they have become more than trainers and service providers to my family. Our relationship began when Ruth provided an introductory horseback lesson to my then 10 year old daughter. We have since become more like family than just friends.
I am concerned at best, to see the slanderous and defamatory statements that were made in previous posts. I am a firm believer that with every story or situation there are at least 3 sides or perspectives; yours, his/hers and The Truth. In an attempt to help the truth rise to the top I offer the following:
The three horses in question are in fact on the farm and are doing well. Each has a care provider who loves them dearly. Not once were any of these animals mistreated or misrepresented in any way during my time at Equi-Venture. When we go to shows they have shown using their registered names. So there never seemed to have been any impropriety on the part of the Hugo or Ruth. It is upsetting to see that either there are some petty, mean spirited, vengeful people out there who obviously don't know much or who are very small and shallow to perpetuate this slanderous post. Ruth and Hugo are not perfect and I am sure that none of us writing these posts are either. I don't believe for one moment that the accusations contained above are worth the time spent creating them. It is my hope that you spineless "Anonymous" posters would develop some ethics and do what's right. If you have a problem with these folks confront them and stop trying to destroy them and those affiliated with them. Your evil has a negative impact on everyone reading this crap. |

The issue of my horses not being paid for has not been resolved. I appreciate the information that the honest, ethical, equine loving person(s) have provided me in regard to their whereabouts. For those that are interested I have a legal contract signed by Ruth and Hugo Helmholtz. I have copies of letters, e-mails, certified letters, wired money transfer numbers sent to me by one of their daughters that were fraudulent, (no payment from the Helmhotlz's was made, yet they said it was), and attorney letters that were sent to them and never responded to and in some instances returned as "no forwarding address".
I certainly have nothing to hide and the truth is there for anyone to see should they have any questions. To answer the questions posed by Anonymous, yes, Toby was my half arab paint and he was a wonderful western pleasure horse.

After believing that I was entering into a contract with honest, ethical people with integrity I had no problem with signing over the horse's registration papers to the Helmhotlz so that their daughters could show them in owner to ride classes, (I was also told by Ruth, that they would gain more points and earn more year end awards if I did this). This was obviously my mistake, although it is often done in the arabian horse world...
So, to answer your question, yes, she does hold the registration papers. I have a legal signed contract between Ruth and Hugo Helmholtz for the horses. They owe in excess of $20, 000.00 to me for the horses... |

| She is a crook she owes hay dealers thousands of dollars. She has judgements against her for not paying. She was sued by an equine dentist for not paying. Go on md case search and search helmholtz she's there. She is notorious for writing bad checks. The family is worthless trash that belongs behind bars. And regardless as to what her cronies think the horses on that property look like crap. They are neglected and there is never any hay in the fields. She is not a horse person she is a crook! And there has been many complaints filed against her for neglect and has had animal control on the property numerous times. She recieves tax free donations operating as a 501c horse rescue but according to people that have called irs she does not have a 501c plan so therefore she is a fraud. If she has nothing to hide then why does she not even have a valid address? I personally know of 5 people that she has wrote bad checks or just not paid that amount is over$7000. And as far as vet care and farriers no one will do work for her because the words out she don't pay. The info I post is the truth why you ask because I know the animal control officerd, I personally know the hay dealers she has not paid so on. How many other people has she screwed that have not come forth yet time will tell. |

This woman is a scammer - now she goes by "Ruthann" and drops her last name. People that do not know anything about horses easily fall into her net.
SHE STARVES HORSES. simple as that - then calls herself a rescue - but horses starve in her care.

Now she has manipulated local businesses into fundraising for her starvation farm.
Her lesson horses are quiet - because they are malnurished and lethargic.

Because the Carroll County Humane Society does not know a horse from a cow. They dont know that a horses ribs should not be sticking out. They can barely keep a kitten alive, much less have the knowledge to evaluate a horses condition, know what a horse needs for proper nutrition, or how to monitor the horses that "ruthann" has in and out of there. They are victims of her scamming!
And ifyou know her and how she cares for horses...answer me this...

Do you know enough about horses to know that horses should always have access to water - and have access to hay at least 2 times a day?
