Consumer reviews and reports on scam companies, bad products and services
aabree coffee company shady rochester, New York
25th of Dec, 2011 by User501306
My well meaning mother chose a gift for me from this company called
Aabree that i did not like. I only had to take it out of the box
briefly to decide it was not for me. I immediately called Aabree to ask
them about a return and Chris there told me he would email me an RMA.
he did. On the RMA, it said there would be a restocking fee of 15-50
%. The RMA also stated that the refund would be applied a month after
they receive product back. I called Chris back
and asked him what the restocking fee would be. Even after I assured
him the product hadn't been out of the box for 5 minutes and all the
parts would be in order, he refused to tell me what I could expect. This
answer infuriated me and his response was to simply end the call and
disconnect me. I had no choice but to file with the BBB. Basically, if
Aabree sells you something you do not like they will not tell you what
your refund will be until it is too late to do someting about it. I
even offerred to buy something more expensive that I liked better but
their idea of an exchange is to shell out another $500.00 dollars. This
company should be avoided. Imagine spending 40.00 to ship your item back not knowing when or how much you will be refunded.

Yesterday Aabree told me the first credit card I gave them was not authorized.
They asked for second credit card to pay for my order.
To my astonishment BOTH credit cards had been charged.
I called them back in hopes of resolution- they were very non-chalant about tying up my credit .
I used to work for a credit card issuer. All they had to do was call one of the credit cards & "release the authorization" so my available credit would not be tied up for 5 days. I actually had to explain to them how this is done. As a merchant they should know exactly how to "release an authorization".
They treated me as an inconvenience & acted as though it wasn't important.
Aabree seems to feel once they have your credit card info they can do whatever they want.
They promised to "release the authorization" - but they didn't.
They promised to call me back - but they didn't.
I told them to cancel my order- but they didn't .
They just sent me my tracking number.
Today I suddenly have fraudulent charges on my credit card . Interesting coincidence.
I will be refusing their unauthorized shipment & it will be sent back at their expense.
I am also disputing the charges with BOTH credit card providers.
Would never recommend Aabree to anyone after this !!!
