I am a disabled veteran and this impacts all disabled persons. During active PTSD I felt it necessary to go trade in my cute 02 Mustang. Even though I love this car and there was nothing wrong with it. During my 6 week ordeal trying to get approved for a 08 Fusion, I changed my mind. Due to a technicality on the part of the dealership I took advantage of an open window. I was unable to get approved and let them know that I wanted my car back and no longer wanted to provided the 4th additional information to them or sign a 4th contract to purchase. Long story short, they lost my title, my maintenance book, my 3 FOBS, my spare key and my trunk storage bin. They broke my locking lug nut and my break pads fell off. My air conditioning isn't working and I had to get a break job since they broke the anti-rattle clips inspecting my car before we even had the ink dry on the Fusion. Please let Rusty Eck Ford know that disabled persons do not like to be exploited. They told me that they would give me a rate to get a spare key made by them for $90.00! Thank you for your support. First, I would like to state that I take offense to the implication that Rusty Eck Ford of Omaha takes advantage of veterans and the disabled. Being a former military man myself and having come from a long line of family members who have served our country (father served in Vietnam and grandfather wounded in action at the Battle of Bulge) is an affront to make such an assertion.
There are two sides to every story. Rusty Eck did attempt to sell Ms. Annett a 2008 Ford Fusion. A loan was arranged for her with a national lender and was subject to the customer providing proof of income and other verifications. ms. Annett signed documentation stating that she agreed to provide such. All this was done with the customer's foreknowledge. The loan package was sent to the lender and Rusty Eck awaited the needed information from the customer. Unfortunately, and not due to a "technicality", the customer refused to provide proof of her stated income. The dealership tried to work for the customer in getting the information needed to the lender. Because the customer would not provide the required information, the loan offer was rescinded and Ms. Annett was returned her trade-in.
Ms. Annett claims that she lost her title. She provided title to her trade at the time of sale to Rusty Eck. Subsequent to the loan rejection, Rusty Eck has left over 5 messages for her to determine how and where she wants us to return her title. To date all calls have not been returned.
Ms. Annett claims that Rusty Eck had caused her brake pads to fall off, that she has since needed to do a brake job and now her a/c is inoperable. I have a voice mailfrom Ms. Annett to our service director stating that she acknowledges that Rusty Eck never touched her touched her brakes, that she was aware that the car was in need of brakes at the time she traded the vehicle in and further, that the air conditioning was worked on by another shop over a year prior!
At the time that Rusty Eck learned the loan offer was rescinded, we had begun to recondition her trade under the assumption that Ms. Annett would and could provide proof of income as agreed. Rusty Eck did return her car immediately. Her vehicle was returned in better condition than she left it. Her oil was changed. Her brake light were inoperable and the cruise control would not shut off - both were repaired by replacing a wiring harness pigtail. Her power mirror did not work and were repaired. The left door pull was repaired. The vehicle was also detailed. In all, the dealership spent $598.14 in reconditioning that was not recouped because the customer chose not to provide the needed documentation necessary to complete the loan.
Her claim that disabled people do not like to exploited is obvious. From a dealer's perspective, dealerships do not like to exploited as well. Rusty Eck did business ethically. It was at Ms. Annett's own choosing that she decided to cause the loan to fail. At no time was she exploited. Rusty Eck did not mis-state her income or elect to not provide the documentation to prove such. They were not "technicailities" as Ms. Annett stated but actions perpetrated of her own free will. Rusty Eck acted in good faith and to be vilified online is absolutely wrong in her attempt to extort free work from our company. |

Rusty Eck and every sells representative and manager I have ever encountered there have proven time and time again to scam, lie and weasel customers relentlessly including the most recent scam of a $200 gift card which is anything but a gift card. EVERY time I bring my two Fords in for service, I get unsolicited calls by sells people attempting to get me back in under false pretenses. I was told to come in, test drive a vehicle and would receive a $200 gift card I could use ANYWHERE for ANYTHING. No brainer, 200 bucks is 200 bucks and I clarified that with the rep on the phone and the sells rep I spoke with during the test drive Nick Valintine. The card was ONLY for " TOTALLYFREESHOPPINGSPREE.COM" and only offered a completely worthless assortment of 20 online items from stretchy bracelets, un-named cheap watches (2 available) 4 cd's of off brand sounds of the forest songs and 4 or so childrens books Ive never heard of. They are gimic hounds, and street swindlers. I have purchased many vehicles in my past, 6 of which have been through there. IF I ever go back, I go in a different person and will NOT be a pleasure to deal with. I DO NOT recommend shopping there. BEWARE buyer, they are not your friend, they are not there to help you. They are there to sell you any car they can for as much as they possibly can and will do anything to swindle you into it. As for the above explanation, they do NOT do business ethically. Who ever wrote that deserves a fat lip. People will not stand for this type of behavior very long. It will come back to you. We, the customers, are becoming very familiar with your antics and the bad publicity that has been spreading about Rusty Eck for years. Ive not been a fan and cus Rusty Eck name more and more every time Im there and get reminded of your pathetic antics. You guys really do suck. We the customer know it, and we are telling others. |
