RushCard Uni Rush Rushcard stole my money and won't give it back Internet, Internet |

I went on vacation to Ethiopia during the month of August to September. While I was out there I did my taxes and signed up for the Rushcard to put my tax money on. When I got back to New York I started using the card. After using it for two weeks, my account got blocked. Rushcard stated that they blocked it because it came up as a foreign account. I told them about my vacation in Ethiopia and they said that in order to unblock the card I would have to send four documents to verify citizenship: drivers license/state ID, social security card, 1040 tax form, and a utility bill. Once I sent that my card was supposed to be unblocked in one to two business days and after a week, my card is still blocked. I have 1700 dollars in that account and no access to it. I am very frustrated and upset with this card company. It is a pre-paid card and it is crazy that it is still blocked. Every time I call they tell me the same thing, "We have no current status from corporate office." Days later I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Rushcard contacted me right after that via BBB saying that I can request it be sent via moneygram through customer service. When I contacted customer service to request it, I told the agent that my wallet was stolen and if it would cause a problem when I pick it up since I didn't have any ID. They agent told me that all I would need is the reference number and rushcard. I have been to at least five moneygram locations and can't access the money. They told me that because of the amount I need a state ID and a social security card. I requested if they could mail or check or unblock the card and they won't do it. Therefore my money is going to be stuck there. I can't get it. They suck. It 's my money, I don't understand why they are making it so hard to obtain when I have proved time and time again that this is my account and my money. AnneMarie Brooklyn, NY |
