On April 23, 2011 I signed a contract with Recol Aluminum Products to built a car port. I was told that the time line for completion was anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks, we are now in November 2011 and they have not completed the work. The total cost of the work is $7,500.00 and I was required to put a down payment of 50% ($3,750.00) once the job is completed and passes final inspection the reminder is due. They have done some work but to be completely honest they have not down $3,750.00 with of work at the moment. All that is left to do is the roof of the car port and also the design of the columns. I have contact Tony Requejo on numerous occasions and he has either answered or told me what I wanted to hear or he does not answer my calls at either number. Several times he has used excuses or has told me that he will be sending someone on a specific date and no one show up. The last problem he told me was that he was having problems getting the materials to complete the job to give him a few more days that was almost 2 months ago. I this point I believe he will not complete the work before the city permit expires. This very much a concern because I would have to pay more money in orders to expend the permit and I should not have to. If I don't extend the permit with the city and the work is not done the city will fine me for everyday the work goes uncompleted. I found this company at the Miami Home Show, which you would think that every company the has an exhibit in that show would be a company you can trust but that is not the case when it comes to Recol Aluminum Products. At this point I want them to finish the work properly or I want him to let me out of the contract and return a portion of my $3,750.00 dollars because the work that they have done up to now is not worth that amount. |
