Rocky Mountain German Shepherd Dogs von dem Felsengebirge Kennel Tragic, terrible experience with Rocky Mountain German Shepherds Conifer, Colorado |

My experience with Rocky Mountain German Shepherds was not just terrible, it was tragic. In August, 2010 I purchased a Pink Paper German Shepherd puppy from Jayne Gervase-Edwards, who runs the business. About nine months later my dog, named Rothko, was dead of congenital heart disease. I spent thousands of dollars with vet specialists trying to give Rothko the longest and best life possible, but the disease with which he was born was too severe. After Rothkos death Ms. Gervase-Edwards was contacted with a request for a refund, but she was non-responsive. On being pressed to respond, Ms. Gervase-Edwards insisted that Rothko was healthy when I bought him and that his disease could have been caused by unspecified environmental factors. Her response is in direct contradiction to established veterinary science and the vet cardiologists diagnosis of congenital disease. Citing the letter of the contract, Ms. Gervase-Edwards refused a refund, insisting that she breeds very healthy dogs and is a reputable breeder. Eventually she did offered a replacement puppy, but this did not mean I would have the same free choice from all puppies that a new buyer would have. Instead I would have only the choice of certain pups that she would decide to make available to me. Over the years I have worked with four different professional breeders, and my experience with Rocky Mountain German Shepherds was by far the worst. Based on my experience I would not recommend that anyone purchase a dog from Rocky Mountain German Shepherds. |

I am aware of this situation and it did not occur as stated. That is the problem with these types of websites. Anyone can bash a business without having to factually prove anything.
Ms. Moore purchased an imported puppy, the puppy had over 6 vet visits all of which gave a clean healthy bill of heath.
When the pup turned 10 months of age the vet told her he had a heart problem, put him on heart meds and he died.
Even though later causes of death are not covered in the agreed upon contract that Ms. Moore signed, the kennel offered her a replacment puppy immediatly upon hearing of the dogs death. Ms. Moore had a third party contact the kennel for a financial refund and would settle for nothing less. She accused the kennel of offering her something substandard which was not the case at all. The puppy offered was top quality. She said she was not ready yet and the kennel agreed to check back with her when puppies came available that suited her families desires.
Next thing you know both Ms. Moore and her "friend" go on a slander campaign while just getting done agreeing to a replacement puppy.
The kennel contract does not provide for financial refunds but because Ms. Moores friend also got a puppy from another breeder and found him to be dysplastic she recieved a refund and kept the dog as well. Therefor Ms. Moore wanted the same. A replacement puppy and a full refund.
Rocky Mountain German Shepherds has been in business for over 18 years and has an excellent reputation and top quality animals. It is unfortunate that people are allowed to bash a business without having factual basis for ANY wrong doing. |

YOU HAVE TO BE JOKING! I have purchased 4 dogs from the owner and this company and I continue to go back due to the wonderful family that breeds and trains the dogs. Jayne has been a pleasure to work with and we love to keep her up to day on how the dogs are doing (and she responds and cares back.) All our dogs are healthy and infact health is promised in the paperwork that we recieved so I have a hard time beliving this story. When we first got our furst puppy from her we called her atleast twice a week with puppy and training questions and she always responded and was more than happy to help us, once more making me wonder about your story. I love the owner, her family and the dogs the she breeds! They are wonderful, playful, friendly, loving and extreamly healthy animals and the owner ensures that and she stresses that to us each time we buy a dog from her. We are repeat clients due to the wonderful dogs she breeds and her wonderful and caring nature as the breeder. |

Jayne was amazing, we told her what we wanted in a dog and about our children. When the puppies were born she called us right away! We were able to come and visit the puppies as long as we called ahead, it was great. Each time we came with the kids they had a blast and Jayne told us all about the puppies and thier personalities. She reccommened a little female that was very courious, loving and playful. She is now 2 and is everything we were looknig for in a dog, she helped us find a great match and helped us train her as well. The owner is great, the dogs are amazing and the land they all live on is beautiful. Thanks Rocky Mountain GSD for completing our family
Pros: friendly, social, beautiful, healthy amazing dogs, LOL owner is helpful and greaat as well
Cons: its in conifer and we live in Colo Springs so it was a bit of a drive, but worth it regardless. From reading this I like RMGSD more for offering you another puppy (when the one you got was a import not even one of thier personal puppies), you not taking that is your own damn fault and you doing slander only shows what kind of a person you are. RMGSD is amazing and sweet people, if anything I feel bad for them having to deal with you Norma |
