Rock Solid Auto and CSA Finance Scam artist Mesa, Arizona

I bought a car from Rock Solid on December 1,2009. I was refured there by a lady I used to work with. She told me you get this great warrenty with your car, I thought that's a good deal. They had a 2005 Hyandi elantra 5 speed. I was looking for a manual so i go test drive the car, its a nice car i like it. I purchace the car put $1500 down and they tell me i have to make 2 payments of $500 then start making my payments. in total i now have put $2500 down. I get the "Plantnum" warrenty, I think that's good it's a full warrenty for the full 36 months. I leave the dealer with an empty gas tank, stop at the gas station fill it up $35 dollors later, drive to my house, my ex-husband looks at the car tells me take it back to dealer, it has a leak (not present at test drive). he drives the car back i drive our other car (manual too), we tell Jeremy whats wrong with (as i had already called LD and told him i was bringing it back), tell them that the clutch needs to be replaced or adjusted. they keep the car for 24 hours, call up say its fixed and tell me the clutch is fine. I take the car get to work, still leaking. after 3 or 4 times of them having the car they finally fix the leak and said the axle was the wrong size. in june the clutch starts slipping i call them they say its not covered by the warrenty (clutch part of drive train, part of transmission), i tell this to the finance company (CSA), they refuse to help too. I make the payments on the car, not able to get it fixed because i cant pay for both, i make the payments instead and for go the repairs for the clutch. the clutch finally goes out after 6 months of driving it with a bad clutch, (mind you havent had the car a full year yet) i decide i have to fix the car no other option at this point. I get a clutch a have it installed the fly wheel resurfaced and gear oil put in, costing my $500. Not being able to make the payment due to paying to repair the car. get a threating call from Jeff at CSA demanding a call back before 7pm, I call back right after work, get put on hold for 20 minutes, finally hang up, call back the next morning left a message on the machine, requesting the "corporate" number. get no call back, then of coarse they are closed for the holiday, cant call. Now when I call Monday morning I have to find out how much it is to get the car back. I now see that I should have never got the car fixed.Both these companies are con artists and they are good at it. i have purchased several used cars from different dealers and never had the problems i have had with this company. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and also with the AZ Attorney Generals Office. I am also contacting an attorney to file a suite against Rock Solid and its affilaites (CSA). Please feel free to add your horror story because if it is possible I believe with enough people we can put these companies out of buisness so no other person ends up with a lemon.

My mom purchased a car from them in... I believe 2008. LD came to the house and picked her up and drove her to the delearship. Because he was sure she would be "driving home in her new car". I did the research and told her of their bad reviews and warned her to not buy a car from them. I told mom to wait until I visited the next week but LD was "such a nice young guy". I visited the following week, the inside door panel on the passenger side and the glove compartment door are both loose to the touch. In addition, at the time of purchase they didn't do a test drive. So when she goes to leave she doesn't have the strength to turn the key to start the car (arthritis). Someone at the dealership, gave her a piece of bent metal to stick through the key to get enough leverage to start the car. That's what she uses to this day. And they sent her on her way. She purchased a 2004 Mercury Sable for $9, 999 with 84, 000 miles on it. Now, mind you, during my visit, we saw the same car for half the price. I called the delearship and spoke with LD complaining about the price and condition of the car. I accused them of seeing a older handicapped woman coming and taking advantage. He was offended. LOL. He said she paid the amount because the car had a waranty and this was a "credit repair program" to help people improve their credit. ?? I explained that a car purchase from ANY delearship that is paid on time everytime would accomplish the same. He didn't agree. ?? Okay. In the end no resolution. Mom has a horrible car. AND mom is regularly harrassed by the finance company for her payment. They call a day ahead of her due date and ask if she has made her payment. She has this almost every month. She argues, ummm, my payment isn't due until tomorrow why are you calling me. On the occassion that she is a day or so late, they threaten to pick up the car now if she doesn't pay. This was a horrible decision. She is so stressed every month, even though she has never gone a month without making a payment. They called her with nasty threatening calls a couple of days after she returned from the hospital. She had a small stroke (TIA) and was still gaining her strength. They did not care. I can't even call on her behalf because they will hang up on me. I am not the purchaser of the car. This is a terrible, heartless, oportunistic company. DO NOT buy a car through them. Do not finance with CSA or purchase through Rock Solid. HORRIBLE.
