Rock Box Company misleads and overcharges customers Seattle, Washington

On March 17, 2011 I arrived at Rock Box to meet my friends for karaoke and drinks. I was escorted by the staff to a private room that my friends reserved for the evening. The waiter (Sean) asked if I wanted anything to drink. I ordered two pitchers of Sapporo beer. Sean then asked how many glasses I wanted, and I guessed six because we had a large group. I then asked the waiter when I should pay. He replied by saying when I leave the bar I can settle my tab. After 20 minutes, I decided to leave Rock Box and went to meet Sean at the main entrance to pay my bill. At this point Sean explained to me
that not only do I owe the bar for the two pitchers of Sapporo, but that I was responsible for the six glasses. He claimed that each glass counted as a person and that I owed 7 dollars (for a full hour) for each glass because it represented 7 people who were in the room. This did not make any sense to me and I told Sean that he did not make this clear to me before I made my purchase. I said this was misleading and unfair. His manager was next to him and explained to me that it was the responsibility of my group to let me know of the rules and not the staff. Frustrated I agreed to pay for the two pitchers of beer and three glasses at a cost of 75 dollars. I feel the staff knowingly mislead me when I ordered my drinks. I would have never ordered the pitchers or entered my friends private room had I known that I would be overcharged. I
feel Rock Box purposely overcharged me was not upfront about what I was ordering. I would like for this business to not only re-pay me, but change its customer relations policy so that other people do not feel intimidated and pressured
when they enter their establishment.
