| Robert Pritchard, starlight children's foundation Assistant Scam!, weekly salary, ad says working with seniors but response says working with orphana |

| This scam offered me a job working as a receptionish with a company that works with the elderly. However, my response back was about being a personal assistant for a man that works for a children's foundation. The foundation he listed was Starlight, which is a legitimate foundation, however he was not a legitimate employee of that foundation. In the add it was listed at an hourly wage and in his email response it was listed as a weekly wage, the response was overly long and had many grammar mistakes as well as some contradictory information. Just please be aware, if I had not looked up starlight foundation I may have fallen for this scam myself! |

| I contacted the same ad on craigslist asking for a front desk receptionist..This guy sent me the same e-mail he sent you and he also spelled his name wrong at the bottom of it, "Pritchard" instead of his yahoo name robertprichard07... I also sent him my contact information AND made a yahoo account to contact him...It wasn't until after i made my account that i started my research and saw this...I asked him if this was a scam an he said it wasn't true and also said he would be sending me an appointment letter and more details of the position. WHAT SHOULD I DO?? |

Considering your application and resume received as regards to the Desk Receptionist/Customer Service Job Posting. Our HR Managers have gone through your CV and it has been reviewed, I had personal interest in it, so I will give this a GO! I'm looking for someone that can be trusted and reliable to work very well and with good understanding
This position is home-based for two weeks till I am back in town where am setting up an office in your area, I run a Children's Foundation, working with me requires flexibility, transparency and confidentiality. Basically, you will be given instructions and your duties will be to following them accordingly, my only fear is that I may call at you impromptu sometimes, so I need someone who can be able to meet up with my irregular timings. As my receptionist, your activities amongst other things will include;
1. Running my personal errands.
2. Overseeing all aspects of general office coordination.
3. Maintaining office calendar to coordinate work flow and meetings.
4. Maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and agency information.
5. Interacting with clients, vendors and visitors.
6. Answering telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member.
7. Opening, sorting and distribution of incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
8. Signing for and distribute UPS/FedEx or similarly delivered packages.
9. Preparing responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.
10. Performing general clerical duties to include, but not limited to, bookkeeping, copying, faxing, mailing and filing.
Basic wage is $600 weekly.
I'm sure you'll understand I run a very busy schedule at this point, as I am presently in Canada, I will be back in Three Weeks. I think you're the right person for this position, Please note that this position is not office based for now because of my frequent travels and tight schedules, it's a part-time work from home and the flexibility means that there will be busier weeks than others, so it's a little difficult judging the exact number of hours you'll be doing per week.
If you can manage your time properly, this job may even give you some extras while you do something else on the side.
As I have said, I'd want us to get a head START with things as soon as possible. I do have lots of works piled up presently and a number of unattended chores which you can immediately assist me with, I hope we can meet up with the workload eventually. Permit me to use the coming week to test your efficiency and diligence towards all this, also to work out your time schedule and fit it to mine.
I really need to find the perfect person for this job, I'm confident you can take up the challenge and on the long run we should have a relatively sound working relationship. I'm online most of the time as I am hard of hearing so I prefer we contact each other through E-mails, and SMS Messages but if there is need for me to call, I will be glad to do that. I will be glad to know if you are willing to work with me and I promise to be a good boss. I will also be highly delighted on the level of commitment you place in work. I have been checking my files lately and what I would want you to do for me this week are to run some errands out to some of the orphanage home, which comes in every month.

| I too received the exact same email a few days ago and actually began working with Mr. Prichard. This is without a doubt a scam. he said he was currently in canada on business and would return to setup an office in my area in two weeks. obviously that is false, since i see he has sent others the exact same email claiming to return from canada within two weeks, that were posted over 2 months ago^^^. The man had me create more job postings on craigslist that draw others into this scam. had I known what i was getting myself doing and getting myself into, I would have never risked involving others. My next assignment was to create checks that would be disbursed to his "orginazation's" clients. I tried effortlessly for 2 days to replicate the checks he desired on various check printing softwares with no luck. Yet, he was so determined for me to create these checks that i began to get suspicous which led me to this website. i began to get especially concerned when we working with a program that required him to validate the ownership of the account which he was trying to make checks for, by simply logging onto the account online and retrieving the check # of a 1 cent check withdrawal that was made. When i informed him that the account must be validated he opted to find another way to create the checks using a different program. He would try and avoid any situation in which he had to prove that he owned the accounts. I continually questioned him why he wouldn't just simply validate the account and he would avoid my questions and said he had to go and whould just log off. He would also always provide me with random debit/credit card information of different people throughout the country to pay for ads, domains, software, etc. and when one card was declined he would simply send me another persons information. This man, Robert Prichard, is without a doubt up to no good, if not illegal activity. DON'T GET INVOLVED WITH HIS SCAM! i've already lost out on $25 purchasing the supplies i needed to complete the tasks he wanted and i only helped him out for 3 days. |

| Same thing happened to me. I got the exact same email. They pretended to be Dr. Stacey Bernstein, a women that really works for the starlight foundation. After receiving a appointment letter from her saying I was now her receptionist got me questioning. So I went to the web and typed in Starlight Scam and BAM! I was right! Thankfully I didn't pay for any supplies or anything. It's a hard time and people now that people look to craigslist to apply for jobs. So be careful when sending your resume to random people from craigslist and PLEASE AVOID SCAMS LIKE THIS AT ALL COSTS |
