We will also provide parenting instruction, residential programs, assistance with local educational institutions, referrals to local agencies and assistance with child care. We're glad you're here! Ok so this sounded like a really genuine cause and like many others I immediately wanted to help. I went to the website and made a donation via paypal. Then I saw that they were doing a cute duck race at the Riverwalk and it was for donations as well. After already making a contribution I felt good about myself so I decided to go to the event. They had all sorts of cool games for kids and it looked really great. I started talking to the other parents and volunteers and found everyone very friendly.

Then everything changed. I met Shannon Castro and Moses Castro. They were the ones on the website who are listed as Founder and facilitator. I recognized Moses immediately. He used to work with my husband as a correctional officer. I used to hear stories about him beating on the prisoners and being very violent. This is the facilitator of the camp? I don't why they thought this was a good idea? A violent correctional officer with a history of violence running a women and children retreat camp?

I went home and talked to my husband who was equally shocked. He told me all sorts of stories about the two and I instantly regretted donating to their cause. I found out that they have all this drama with their own kids and one of their daughters has a kid who isn't allowed to see his father? What kind of organization is this? They take peoples money and instead of helping the families with problems they break up the family and favor the women while shutting out the fathers. I am sure Moses is used to prison men, but not all men are prison type.

I only write this now because I have since talked to others who have seen families torn apart by their so called help and it sickens me! Help the mothers who need help, but breaking up families is not the kind of help that needs donations! Don't support them!
