RICHMOM - Savannah Ross Winston Bromley BEWARE!!! Real Estate Seminar Training Course SCAM, Internet, Ontario
11th of Dec, 2011 by User912559
Before you ever give Savannah Ross any money read this: As a real estate investor and mortgage broker for over 30 years I know a thing or two about investing in real estate. So when one of my oldest and dearest friends told me about how his daughter was duped into signing up for one of these get rich quick with real estate courses last year I had to check it out. The woman who scammed her was Savannah Ross or RICHMOM as she likes to be known as (sounds like a rip -off to me) I went to one of her free seminars where she claims to have made 6 million in 6 months with real estate. As a seasoned real estate investor I find this impossible to believe . But there are lots of people who do because the seminar room had about 20 people in it. Her hour long pitch consisted mostly of her rags to riches story but offered little to no proof of the 6 million she claims she made in 6 months. Nor was there any real explanation for how she did it other than her eluding to some real estate appraisal trickery which basically boiled down to committing mortgage fraud. A serious criminal offence in Canada and yes people, lots of people of gone to jail for this. At the end of what seemed more like a motivational seminar Richmom offered an online course for $4000. It seemed like a couple of people signed up. A few days later my friends daughter gave me the password and log-in info for the online course that she herself paid $4000 for. Also be advised this was borrowed money, it's not like this young lady has the money to fork out on some course, she borrowed it from her line of credit on the promise that she was going to make it back with her real estate investing. Anyways I reviewed this thing that was made up of "so-called" training modules. I looked at it myself and it absolutely angered me that someone would charge $4000 for nothing more than a lesson on positive thinking. I mean it barely had anything related to actual practical real estate investing. I was compelled to fight for her money back so I wrote Ms. Ross a letter demanding that she repay the money. I never received a reply so I wrote another letter. Never received a reply. Now I'm writing a complaint to the CMHC to let them know about RichMom and what she is doing. "Get rich with Real estate" courses like this have been around for 50 years and I just wish the government would put a stop to them and people like Savannah Ross. If you've been swindled by richmom and feel you got nothing in return I encourage you to post your story here and or post on other forums and blogs. Also demand your money back.
