Richard Billington QC, of Calgary Alberta is a corrupt and unethical lawyer who will lie to the court multiple times if necessary to win his cases.
A desperate but unprofessional man who has been caught many times lying. One example is found in Alberta Court of Queens Bench action 0401-16581 where Richard Billington represented an investment salesman Brian N Mallard of Saskatoon. An employee of Brian Mallard brought evidence and testimony of financial wrongdoing by Mallard to securities regulators and the RCMP and Mallard needed to stop the information from surfacing. In steps Richard Billington, who misinforms Justice Blair Mason in an ex parte application to get Kent Shirley (the employee) silenced. Billington duped the juidge into signing an Anton Piller application to suppress everything Kent Shirley had to say, "forgetting" to inform the judge that Kent Shirley had already been co-operating with RCMP and securities regulators. This is in the transcript. He then dupes the judge into signing an order with a provision buried in it that prohibits Kent Shirley from speaking to police or any other authority??? Billington personally invades Kent Shirley's Red Deer apartment, taking all of the information and evidence against his client and leaving Kent feeling as if all is lost for the truth to come out. When the Judge, Blair Mason comes to the realization that this order was over-reaching, he orders Billington to immediately ammend the prohibition against Kent Shirley speaking to authorities. Billington fails top follow out this court order for nine months, "forgetting" again? Kent Shirley takes his own life days later, on Christmas eve 2004. Billington then files the amended order nine months later, in September 0f 2005, allowing the noiw dead Kent Shirley to speak to authorities. For Mr. Billington to sleep at night I must assume him to be a psychotpathic individual. To act in the slippery, slimy manner in which you repeatedly act, and to lie repeatedly in a court of law to win your cases speaks volumes to your desperation, and your mental state of mind. May you never forget what you did to justice, to Justice Mason, and to Kent Shirley.
