Reply.com DONT WORK THERE! SCAM! HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT! San Ramon, California
27th of Jan, 2011 by
This place is a joke! First off they will have you come in and waste your time by having you wait over 20 min to meet with your for your interview (myself and 2 other people were waiting over that). Then they want you to cold call random companies and expand their company and even want you to work nights and weekends and not pay you more. The leadership there is a joke as well! I talked to a rep who was quiting that week and he said he was leaving because the management yells at them and doesnt do anything to help you. dont work here it is a waste of time and I am trying to help you before you go. There are so many other positions out there.

We are two employees who currently work at Reply and none of the above information is true. Management is great we have never been asked to work a night or weekend. If we ever have an issue or question they are more than willing to help resolve the issue and answer our questions. We have found it to be a very nice place to work.

I had an interview today, the people I met with where nice. The pay is $8.00 an hour, or so if you are serious about looking for a job, that makes money... don't apply. According to there policy here is how it works. You create your own start up fee, or maybe $1.00, or $$299.00 you get 50% commission are you joking, so you are working for $8.12 an hour and if want to make a sell you charge the buyer $1.00 . Furthermore, if you do not make 10 sales a month cold calling contractors, well...that is why there turn over is so high. Who knows where your territory will be? Plus they admit a very high over, at least they are honest, is this a good thing for Contractors or Customer? I want a job but not with a turn over so high they don't know how many employees work there, simply stated because the turnover is so high. How can live off $17, 000 a year plus the medial commission, people are so desperate to get a job that they will take it, don't apply..it's a waste of time and money, get a real job at a Temp agency that pay $12.00 less or more an hour. Don't apply...if you are used to making $36, 000 plus a year. It's plain stupid.

I worked at Reply for awhile a few years ago, and there's nothing false about these statements. Upper management treats everyone below them like dirt. There's a reason they never stop hiring: their employee turnover rate is sky-high. It's a job, sure, but it's not fulfilling in any way.

I worked there in 2009 in Automotive, and was never asked to come in nights or weekends, though maybe the RE people were, not sure. Management is hit and miss. It's not that they won't offer help in some cases, but the bottom line to them is just make 150 calls a day and you WILL get business. Not true, but keep trying, Reply. Also, they heavily discourage any kind of research on potential clients within your territory that might help you better understand their needs, because after all, research prevents you from making those 150 call a day that work so well, remember? As far as the yelling goes, slightly exaggerated, but not by much. It's mostly when departments have bad months regarding quotas.

Automotive is a straight forward department, because there is an actual contract process with your clients, as opposed to RE which is online registration (which is the core of the scam accusation online, though I don't know a whole lot about that side of Reply). With the contract, it's spelled out pretty clearly, more so than any other company's contracts. But they ask for 10 contracts a month, way easier said than done, contracts can take 2 weeks to 6 MONTHS or longer depending on how cooperative the dealership is. I will say that if you can handle all of that, there is good money and incentives for the creme de la creme of sales reps.

All in all, this company is best suited for those who like fast paced sales and have a competitive edge with their co-workers. Not sure if the business is sustainable when the economy improves (if ever), but for now if that's your kind of work, go for it.

I agree about the management team, this company is not what they seem. At first, during your training the management will give speeches that this Company is a great place to work for, all positive people (that’s what I thought at first) this may be true, if you are part of the management team but not when you are making $8.17/hr (salespeople). You don’t have freedom of speech they don’t want you talking about your negative experiences that you have encountered because it will impact other sales people’s mood (as they say) while at lunch/break time. You are not human being to their eyes…they perceive you as $$, nothing less, nothing more. So, if you speak up or unable to meet your sales quota you will be let go without warning. For me, I was there for the experience and if the service that I’m selling works, then there won’t be any problem making sales, right? Unfortunately, with all the bad stuff, yelling, abusive remarks from Agents because of their bad experiences and repeated phone calls that they’re getting from Reply salespeople, reaching out to them is close to impossible. I made few sales but not consistent so with everybody else…it’s not good. Besides, you’ll learn fast enough to know that the system doesn’t work, as a salesperson you don’t have the visibility of how many Agents are already working in the same area, all of the RE Sales team are calling the same area over and over and signing up Agents in the same Offices, there is no such thing as lead cap and they can offer Agents as many leads as they want even there aren’t that many to go around, it is out of control. Some degree of frustrations to both the RSE and Agents over promising leads, for what? If you want to preserve your sanity and feel good about what you are doing then this is not the job for you and you have to have a strong stomach for it. Again, this will be where you are for months ahead if you are not let go by then, because the sales quota is far from reach for Real Estate, you have to meet 20 sales per month to stay at $17K/yr ($8.17/hr.), and you will advance to $24K/yr, if you meet 25 sales. You will get a bonus if you charge set up fees, but if you are charging $1 just to make a sale and trying to meet your sales quota can’t do both ways or can’t do it at all.

Not having the freedom of speech on your free time, watch out they may hear your conversations. Just be quiet and do what they asked you to do or hear, as they want to relay a positive working environment, they are in denial or they’re just control freaks they own your soul for $8/hr. Even, the salespeople that you meet across the hall or lunch area seem depressed when they can’t make a sale, they will be staring at walls thinking if they will be the next person to let go. Management team do not care about your feelings in anyway shape or form, unless you bring them the goods, but once you can’t consistently make the sale, just watch out the next team of salespeople will be taking over your place because the team before them are burned calling the same areas and already covered the whole United States and still can’t move up to the next tier. Now, the Company needs new blood, new set of sales team to do their dirty work, this way they don’t have to pay for employee benefits.

Reply! Preys on the unemployed because they are vulnerable, they know that they’ll take any job at this point, even they know that it is not even enough to get them to work every day. So, for those of you who will aspire to have employee benefits/medical/share of company stock, just keep dreaming and hope that the day will come to receive as such? We just hope and pray that the economy will turn around and find a job that treats us well for deserving employees and not be taken for granted.

If there is such thing as code of ethics and integrity, this company may have filed an exemption!

I to worked there!! I was unemployed and looking for work when the HUMAN RESOURCE manager contacted me for an interview. I was there exactly a month and quit after the misrepresentation I was acknowledging. It is so true about the 8.17 hrly rate and commission structure they train you for 4 days then throw you on the sales floor to sell leads that are bogus for $54.95 I made a few sales and received calls or emails back from every client stating that the leads were BOGUS and customer service was impossible to get ahold of to cancell their accounts. After so many complaints I started to become discouraged and knew that I couldn't continue working there and selling a product that I knew was EXPENSIVE to realtors working on a COMMISSION in this tough economy that was BOGUS!!! They were sued by CONTRA COSTA county and settled out of court because they were afraid of what would happen if they fought it!!! They have lost their accredation with THE BBB due to so many complaints. DON"T WORK THERE OR BUY FROM THEM> you will LOSE MONEY and TIME!!!

I have noticed that the only people that have anything good to say about Reply.com are accounts that are named ABC or 123. Yet accounts with valid complaint have actual people names attached to it. Shame on you Reply.com for posting false" positiv"e reviews.
