I was promised a working phone when I moved into Laurel Manor and Handicapped parking when I moved into my apt. in May. Didn't have a phone for 2 days. The bedroom telephone jack had a paper towel stuffed into it by the painter and painted over. The paper towel was like plaster after being painted over. Verizon repairman showed me. He also told me the jack was beyond repair. He showed me a metal bar a few inches behind the telephone jack that could not be repaired. It was broken. He put a makeshift jack on the wall for me. There is so much static on the line, it cannot be used for a phone connection. The kitchen jack had no working line either. There are multiple parts of the walls and ceiling where you can plainly see there was major water damage done. The problem was not repaired correctly. Pieces of the walls in my hallway are cracked like a jigsaw puzzle. Water was running down my glass sliding door in the kitchen. I reported this to the office. was told by co. repairman he could not fix the problem until the water welled up in the upstairs apartment was taken care of. He advised that he didn't do that kind of work. That was a few days before Christmas 2012. I called the office a few weeks ago and asked if the problem was fixed upstairs. Was told by The Leasing Manager of Laurel Manor, verbatim, "I don't know." There is a large crack in the wall going into the wood frame above the glass patio door due to the water damage in upstairs apartment. I was told, "no problem,' re getting a handicap parking spot prior to moving in. I have a Pa Tag (my metal license plate). I have a sever ebag problem if I do not take care of it. I have a prescription for a muscle relaxer for 90 that can be refilled 3x. It took three weeks to get the sign for me to park. I was told, verbatim, "Other tenants are going to ask us, "Do you just have parking for handicapped people." When I spoke to the leasing manager re the parking spot for me, after I moved in and explained my back was bothering and why, she commented very sarcastically, "You're b not gonna tell me your back is bothering you just from walking from the laundry room in 29 B. Highly inappropriate and not very professional. I was also told the laundry room for Building A would be finished in 2 weeks. It took months. Yesterday I got a letter under my door for lease infraction for feeding squirrels. The form was checked off for trash and garbage on my patio. I wouldn't call peanut shells trash and garbage on the property. FYI squirrels will be on the property no matter what. We are surrounded by some amount of woods. I complied with the letter. Their are a lot of animal lovers here that feed them. Informed Kaye in the office yesterday morning the upstairs neighbor in 29 B has a washing machine and it sound like a freight train going through here. I was told it is a violation of the lease. Yet this morning, the washer was running again. The fllor in my living room vibrates when she runs the washer. No I'm not kidding. Called the leasing office and now they have a new voice mail recording set up. No one answers. They obviously have selective enforcement of rules here. Also they do not properly do repairs. Also have large cracks in the plaster in my bedroom and living room because it wasn't repaired correctly before I moved in. The ceiling is also in need of repair in my living room. That happened shortly after I moved on. Vertical blinds in the kitchen were not hung properly either. The 3 blinds in the center could not be turned since I moved in. Either the owners of this property don't care or they are not aware of the neglect here and bad rapport they have after you move in. I lived at my last address for ten years. This property in located in Upper Darby Township. Te corruption capital of Delaware County. My doorbell has not worked since I moved in. Supposedly, some repairs will be done today.
