Just like so many of the stories about this company, they gave me a quote to moev the items I was taking from my late parents home in Atlanta to San Diego, Ca. We gave them a list, even sent a revised list and got a new price $400 higher, making the estimate, $1875. Once loaded half of our belongings it was, the other quote is not right its going to be more. Suddenly it more than doubled to $4150. They were suppose to pick up our belongings between 12-4 PM, but didn't show up till 8:30 at night and waited until 11 Pm to give us this ridiculously increased amount. But they had over half our belongings loaded. Then tell me they are running out of room, as walk through the house to see whats left, we realize, they packed 3 end tables, but not the glass for them, reminded them. went in the master bedroom, where they had packed the dressers, but not the mirror for one of them nor the glass that went on top of them keeping the dresses from getting scratched! They had even left a shelf from the entertainment center just sitting in the middle of the floor. We told them specifically to leave the organ, and to be sure these items went, I mean obviously if you pack the dresser, you need the mirror and the glass tops if they have them. Told them, ah need the lamps and night stands from in here. Once again, they did not load the mirror nor the end tables and lamps as well as other items. We made this easy for them by having all boxes in the garage before they got there, bringing the stuff down stairs so they did not need to go up there. We were asked when was the earliest wanted them delivered, said June 8th. ( this all happened may 30, 2011) Come to find out, they put our stuff in a warehouse. I learned after returned home that by federal moving laws, they should have given us the adjusted balance prior to loading anything on the truck. I began calling them when the 8th was the next day and had not heard anything. Left voice mails on Patrick ( the sales man), Alex who did the pack out, and Louise at the ofice. would get nothing but voice mails on any machine and no answer. tried sending a fax, it never picked p on there end. I called overand over left voice mails to all 3 with no return calls. Finally reached Louie, whom said it would be here "the end of the week", well came and went still nothing. They gave me the drivers cell number, he advised it would be here Monday. its now Tuesday, June 28, still waiting. Spoke to Louise this morning and I brought up the fact of them changing the price, citing the handbook on moving from the government . Louie argued with me that was not there couldn't say anything. When mentioned that there are numerous reports from former clients of them doing this illegal practice, of course tried to deny and suddenly connected Alex on the line. Alex tried saying he gave me the adjusted quote after walking through the house, even though not only my husband and myself were there but also a family friend whom saw it be 11 Pm and over half loaded before did this. When mentioned other complaints and had even spoken to others, beet around the bush and would not answer. followed by telling me either i pay the balance on the changed 's binding quote, or They would not give me my belongings. I was then told it would be here today the 28th, only to get a text from the driver now telling me not till morning. I responded by say no TODAY!! Its been 16 days now since pick up and nothing still. I advised was filing complaints with anyone and everyone that would listed. This is a company to stay away from!!! I told them I would pay it, under protest as well would be speaking to my lawyer about filing a case against the, its companies like this that take advantage of us not necessarily knowing our legal rights till it is too late!!! These guys need to be closed down and give back all the money they have collected fraudulantly. My Husband is Retired Navy and I am perminently disabled. money does not grow on trees for us, but its people like them that act like it does and thinks that they will never get caught and keep getting business. WE NEED TO PUT A STOP TO IT!! And the only way to do that is together.
