Purchased a nanny cam from knowyournanny.com for $379. I opened the cam the same day it was received and it would not stream online as promised and the radio (where the camera was hidden) did not work. I contacted the owner of the website and the person who sold it to me, Michael Giordano. He advised to call a customer service number for support. They were unable to assist and were not sure how to correct it. Michael Giordano was contact again and he advised to send it back and he would refund the full amount of $379. The item was packed up the same day it was opened in all of the original packaging. I had to pay $12 in shipping to return it. Michael Giordano emailed me eight days after the package was delivered to advise he was only returning $324, which was $55 less hen what he charged me. His only explanation was that the manufacturer claimed there was a hairline fracture in the front the radio and it cost them $40 to repair it. He was unable to give an explanation of why he charged me $55 for it though. He also said he would forward an invoice that he received from the manufacturer as well as pictures that it was damaged, however he never sent them or was able to prove it. Also, he told me to contact the manufacturer myself- I called three times and left messages, but no one ever returned my calls. He also admitted that he has had problems with that same manufacturer in the past, however continued to do business with them. He told me that he would not eat the cost and had to pass it on to the consumer. Michael Giordano basically decided to keep $55 of my money for absolutely no reason and I had to waste my time and money to return a faulty item that he sold to me through his website. I am out a total of $67 for purchasing an item from him and his website. This site is a total scam!!!! |
