ProBuilders on bricklink
Seller lies about quality of product and does not respond to complaints. Does not provide refund. Multiple sellers are connect via support network to

I had a similar experience to User379030. A seller by the name of probuilders (Mr. Steudle) scammed me. I bought a lego sold as a brand new palpatine figure from the imperial inspection set. I asked through multiple emails of the condition. The answers were quick and what I wanted to hear.

However, what I received was a cut up key chain figure which reeked of smoke. For those who don't know, the original figure form the set is of higher value and price than a key chain. Its obvious the one I got was a second hand item.

I immediately sent an email to let the seller know and he/she never responded. When I filled a complaint on Paypal I just learned that it doesn't cover non ebay items. I will only buy with credit cards online from now on. You learn through experience.
Therefore I went on the bricklink forum to voice my complaint. However, another seller by the name of Fosterbengoshi was quick to dismiss my experience. His main argument is that I have no proof. What proof do I need to be scammed? After some heated debate, this seller immediately put me on the block list and subsequently send the list to dozens of other sellers. Obviously I was placed on multiple block lists of several sellers. Several sellers came on the forum and attacked me as if I was the one to blame.
Obviously from the complaint by User379030, its very likely these sellers are all connected and attempted to kick me out because I was threatening their sale.

Anyhow, I was forced to apologized to the community because I was made to look like a fool by Fosterbengoshi. For your information, "bengoshi" means lawyer in Japanese. It was pretty obvious he's a lawyer-able to sway and convince others that I am the aggressor.

When I ask how I can prove it, the response was you can't but any further attempts to convince us will only negate your attempts. IIf you can't answer that, how can you be so quick to dismiss me?

All in all, I cannot recommend Bricklink. I had much better experience with ebay.

This is disappointing to hear. And not my experience with Bricklink at all. I am a buyer and seller on the site, and while I have had the occasional less-than-stellar experience, it is by far the exception, not the norm. I find it surprising that some of the people listed had blocked you, although some sellers simply like to avoid any conflict before it begins, so if there was even an inkling that selling to you might amount to that (sounds like that's what Fosterbengoshi was successful at arguing) they took themselves out of the equation by not selling to you. At the end of the day, though, there are some upsides. A quick check just now shows that ProBuilders' selling privileges have been revoked on the site, after a number of other complaints filed within only a few months of your own. So it looks like you weren't alone in taking issue with this seller. Secondly, there are thousands of sellers on Bricklink, much the same way eBay has. Even if these 25-30 sellers won't accept your order, there are plenty more that happily will, and will give you good customer service. Overall, the prices on Bricklink are almost always better than eBay, unless you're buying bulk lots of brick. I urge you to give the Bricklink community another try. Thanks for telling your story.
