My mother kept receiving packages from Holsteds Jewelry. After a while I told her just write refused on the packages and send them back unopened. She did so only to find that the charges were still being withdrawn from her checking account. No credits were issued until just recently. She called several times to get them to stop sending packages with no success. I called them with no success until I finally wrote them, copied the Attorney General, and made the following statement: "Your lack of respect for the elderly by ignoring continued requests to stop sending your product is bordering on 'Abuse of the Elderly'. Immediately stop all future mailings of product or catalogs to *NAME* at *ADDRESS*. Any further mailings received will be considered gifts to the recipient and any charges for said product will be cause for prosecution!" No credits were issued until just recently. They did finally credit $49.00 times 3 (of course her charges to her account were over $56.00). Still in the end this company stole several hundred dollars from my Mother. How they got her checking account information is still a mystery. How many millions of dollars is this company steeling from people across this country? Check on your elderly neighbors, parents, grandparents, etc......help stop this injustice!
