Priceshuffle.com Price shuffle.com SCAM - scam, deceptive Internet
11th of Nov, 2010 by User286722
This was the link that I used and talks about the 100 bids when you sign up.

Went to the website (priceshuffle.com) and registered and used the coupon. When I entered in the coupon it said that the bids had been applied. However, I then saw that I had 125 bids - I thought that this was strange and only expected 100. Then a few days later I saw that my CC was charged 75.75. This was completely unexpected. I called and asked for a refund and was denied. I just thought that there must be some sort of error. I am going to contact the BBB, My State Attorney General. The Cyber Internet Crime, the IC3 and several more to make sure that it is know how terrible of a scam this company is. Also, the news website where I suspect most of us got suckered is a fake. There are at least 4 versions of it: http://channel4newstoday.com/ http://www.memphisgazette.com http://newstoday9.com http://consumernews-reports.com/shopping/penny-auctions/news2_bidsauce.php?t202id=81858&t202kw=swipe%20auction Take a look and notice these things:

All are supposedly owned by The Memphis Gazette implying that it is a newspaper. Yet in light grey tiny letters (that no one will read) on the Memphis Gazette site, it states: This site is not affiliated with any newspaper publication. This is a company that does not exist.

The male anchor is the same person on all 4 sites but has a different name.

The channel 9 and channel 4 sites use the same logo, modified from NBC's Today show to imply an affiliation. The anchors are the same, different names.

The article is exactly the same on all 4 and is written by Johanna on 2 of the sites but the photo of Johanna is of 2 different people. On the third site, the article is written by Julie and the 4th is Julia.

The comments section is closed because of spam and isn't it interesting that all of the comments are glowing???

I've gone back to these sites repeatedly over the past few days and I've noticed that the penny auction site being promoted changes when the special bonus promotion expires. New penny auction site, new bonus expiration date. Comments, however, do not change. There are at least 7 penny auction sites being promoted: PriceShuffle.com Wavee.com SpeedyBuys.com SwipeAuctions.com Swipebids.com Bidhere.com BidSauce.com QuiBids.com

windrider to "Pricehuslter",

Priceshuffle was first what I'd heard about in auction sites. Unfortunately their advertising header features such technological brand names as "XBOX", "Intel" and "Cannon" yet for the most part features nothing more than anti-aging cream, childrens vitamins, faux jewelry and and occasional "shake flashlight". And even though I have bought (bid) on some of this junk and won, there has been two instances where I have not received my merchandise yet been charged on my credit card for it. The first time was when they had sent an e-mail to me asking me to verify my purchase and as I tried to do so their security wouldn't accept my password. After changing passwords three different times as provided by the Priceshuffle site, (and still unable to access my account) I was finally able to regain access to my account but to late to verify my purchase. Not to worry though, they went ahead and confirmed it for me, without me knowing it, charged my credit card, but didn't bother about shipping it to me. This last time I could confirm my purchase/bid however again I did not receive the item. I wrote an e-mail to customer service, I called the number given in order to see if I could get this issue straightened out any sooner. I was put on hold, listening to elevator music for AN HOUR AND FORTY-FIVE MINUTES before I hung up!!! I am sure this was on purpose. My complaint will go in to my credit card company not to pay these obnoxious assholes one thin dime of my money. I warn everyone to take caution when thinking of joining this auction site, you will have to work to keep them straight and it's not fun or worth your time!
